3.5ft Crawl Space

What would be the best lights to use during flowering in a 3.5ft tall crawl space? I know HID are the best to use, but thinking heat will be a problem with this setup...

I've attached pictures of my crawl space to show what I'm working with.

BTW, those buds are from an outdoor grow...

I would go with a 400 watt HPS, with a hood capable of attaching an inline fan and with a glass light cover. Try to keep the ballast in another room. Should stay nice and cool.

Yup, a 400 watt should be easy to ventilate if heat is any problem.
I would consider growing some horizontal plants to produce fine bulbous sticky buds!

I'm looking at a few options here, tell me which you think would be best for my situation without burning the plants any:

400 watt HPS GROW LIGHT GLASS COOL TUBE Reflector 400w - (eBay item 180180080284 end time Jan-12-08 13:25:49 PST)

400 watt HPS GROW LIGHT SYSTEM w 400w SUN LAMP +BALLAST - (eBay item 180186431528 end time Dec-15-07 19:15:00 PST)

Compact T5 FLUORESCENT GROW LIGHT Fluorex 2 TEK 400 hps - (eBay item 180186432630 end time Dec-16-07 19:15:00 PST)

^^^My buddy thinks the Flourescent would be better and cheaper on the electric bill, but I'm finding only 1 400w HPS doesn't seem to do much on the bill, a few extra bucks a month.

I only plan on growing each plant about 8-10 inches tall, then flower. Will the HPS be able to flower 3 plants at the sametime?

in a space that small, a 400 W HPS shouldnt have a problem flowering 4 plants.

50 watts a square foot for some tight nuggies. The 400 is a little easier to manage than fluorescents in such a tight spot.

you got three feet of real grow space, id say a short strain, and flower at 6 inches. My plants got to 5 feet when i went into 12/12 at 12inches.

Damn, 5x her size!

So it seems like these HPS lights are ok to use in my crawl space without causing any harm to the plants, sweeeeeeet! I'm gonna get the Glass Cool Tube with the 400w HPs. Seems that would be the best one to use.

Btw, I'm gonna be growing Blue Mystic from Nirvana. Can't wait to get started!!

i heard it may be better to get a regular ventable hood with glass lense on it than the cool tube, i herd cool tube does not reflect as good.

Update: I was able to dig 12', so now I'm working with 4.5 ft of grow space, well, about 3.8ft after purchasing the setup below!

As of now, I've got 2 White Rhino seeds under 2 CFL's (these seeds were left over) and germinating 3 Sweet Purple and 3 Blue Mystic!

homerbud i also got 2 blue mystic growin. they are about 2 inches tall and growin like crazy now.

get some pics up once you get setup down there.
