3 10 dollar wallmart grow lights

Using 3 10 dollar wallmart grow lights good results first grow just got my 6th nod o think I waited.to long to transplant my roots were all over bottom was almost completely roots my bottom leaves were closing green could it b because my roots had no where to go

My bottom leaves were losing greenness could it be because I waited to long to transplant it and my lights r just 10 dollar under cabinet grow lights very tight budget just transplanted it today roots were all over the bottom had no where to go

i know exactly wht walmart liight ur talking about (its a T8 that says "grow light" its actual only 13 watts) i have them on the sides of my tent..they can barley keep a seedling or clone going there not too good. i just didnt wanna see em go to waste so i threw em in there..

that doesn't tell us what kind of lights they are. i'm assuming you are using tube style lights but we don't know what type or what wattage they are so we can't tell you if your lights are likely to cause problems. t8? t5? how big of a space are you trying to light with them? how far away are the plants? what size containers are you using?

green roots? like moldy green? a pic goes a long way in helping people understand your problem.

These are the Walmart Gro Lites. I have 2 of them. There good for lighting up an area bright enough so you can find the real lights Basically crap. They may be ok for hanging over seedlings or maybe clones or something but thats about it.

I'm on a very tight budget what all do I need

....Then go with CFL bulbs. You can get 6500K 100w equivalent bulbs for a few bucks that will work fine for the vegging period, way better than those crap sticks

MY first grow I used those lights, they are probably the biggest waste of money. basically useless.

LMFAO...if u can see ur roots...and u are using 10$ grow lights....im betting you are using a clear container with walmart potting soil...thats fine btw...i remember when i started...anyhoooo....ur roots are turning green cuz humidity is forming between the soil and container....witch is making alganate...(algy) grow on ur outter roots...thats my guess

a bunch of cfls add as you can afford trust me you will add and add after first harvest all the money you save buy not bying bud buy a hps
