Hello everyone. I’m currently growing 4 plants and want to post my journal.

Light:
FAMURS 2000W LED Grow Light, Remote Control-Series Grow Lamp with Timer/Thermometer Humidity Monitor and Adjustable Rope,Full Spectrum Plant Light for Indoor Plants Seeding Veg and Flower

Grow medium: Soil FF Ocean Forest Only
Nutes: FF Nutes

Plant Species:
Ripper seeds - Lemon Ice
Serious Seeds - White Russian
And S.A.D S1

Exhaust: AC infinity cloudline T6 (AMAZING FAN, Super quiet)
Intake: 6” booster fan

Currently on week 3/4 of veg (plants started at different times due to some deaths. Really bad luck with bad seeds from serious seeds but they sent replacements. Good customer service)

My plants are not as tall as I would like around this period. I made the mistake of using the Veg light only option and only giving them blue light this entire time. Then after doing some research I found out I could have been giving them the entire spectrum of light with no issues. (I’m new to LED). I also think I had my light too far away at first.

I’ve been having a fungus gnat issue. It got worse when one time turned off the exhaust By accident and left the humidifier on during dark time. I came back to a tent full of water and cold steam Which completely soaked all
My plants and soil, making perfect gnat conditions . I think I’ve gotten it mostly contained by using mosquito bits, captain jacks, and yellow sticky cards. They aren’t too bad but I do have some bites and browning/yellowing on some leaves which I may trim off. But I’m worried these gnats won’t go away.

Other than that the plants look good but I expected them to be taller. The White Russian from serious seeds has been really bad and I don’t recommend them. My lemon I’ve plant is doing awesome and so Is the S.A.D S1. But my White Russians are growing really small and weak in comparison. Hopefully switching to full spectrum today helps.

I also had been having issues with my soil taking forever to dry. I don’t have to water the plants for like a week which I don’t think is good. That also isn’t helping my gnat problem. I have plenty of drainage holes in the sides and bottoms of my 5 gallons so it’s not that. I also have fans blowing on the plants and soil but it still takes forever to dry. I think I got a bad batch of FFOF because the soil was really clumpy when pouring it out the bags initially.

The first month is usually slow asf ..., give them time ... they dont look bad ... think your buckets are too big but it’s okay .. I can help u man ... will get though this.

I usually start in red party cups like 12 ounces and then transplant accordingly ...

I started in red solos until the roots shown through the bottom. After that growth stopped kinda hard on the two White Russian. I transplanted from the solos to 5 gallon

I’ve been having this problem too, I’m new LED as well and found that I’d only have to water once a week or less! (I did have drainage issue however) As for fungus gnats I’ve seen one or two but I’ve been considering putting a top layer of sand maybe a 1” to prevent them from breeding

I think the gnats have gotten under control now. I’m more so worried about the watering and getting the proper nutes. With LED i’m only watering once a week and even then it’s seeming like they never fully dry out.

As they get bigger, and flower, they will suck up water faster. If concerned, a soil moisture meter is great, until you can just go by weight of the pots... the plants tell you when dry.... you'll get it! Keep them as short and spread the canopy as even as you can. Good luck!!!

Thanks. I gotta get a trellis net before they get too tall

Having some issues now. Showing signs of what I think is nute burn after I performed a flush. I barely even give them nutes so I’m confused to why it’s showing up now and why it didn’t happen until I did a small flush. Maybe it’s because I used tap water, the PPM on my tap water is 140

Pics wouls be helpful.

I really like that lights features. I have 2k led combined with a 1k in about the same size tent. I could probably eliminate the 1k but more doesn't seem like less in this situation lol. I like that it has a time and ability to change the light types..

I've always used the full spectrum and they turn out lovely - very icy!

I have noticed that under LED my plants only need watering maybe 4 to 5 days, there is not as much heat and more humidity than in my HPS chamber, those plants need water every other day. Are there any holes on the outside of that bucket or just holes underneath?

Thanks for this as that’s exactly what I’ve been wondering... I’ve noticed it’s day 4 and 3 inches in is still moist
