i don't think anyone realizes what monsters you have there with the help of your CO2. a huge yield doesn't come out of a 2x4x5. but with this grow you certainly seemed to max it all out. good stuff. and while were on the subject ... how many plants did you stick in the tent ... is it 2 bub and 2 ak?? 4-5 off each plant is fucking impressive

people must just be too busy to stop and comment. i have a ton of page views tho which i appreciate. and those who stop by and leave a word or 2 i appreciate. i think u were right when u said people dont comment when things are going well. yeah that co2 is the bomb. very fast growth. also larger containers help make healthier plants.

right now i have 3 plants:ak48, bubble#1, and bubble#2. i think i'm going to keep 3 bushy plants going on a perpetual system of harvest. this way i can pull 4-5 oz per plant. if you think about it. in 10 weeks(2.5 months) i will have harvested 3 plants 4-5 oz each-totaling 12-15 oz(hopefully). that is 340g-425g. pretty decent for a 400w grow in a 2x4x5 tent.

as always i appreciate the compliments.

dont be too worried about putting your HID in. the only advice i have is.. be sure u can expel the hot air quickly and try to find solutions for heat buildup in your room. leaving a window open, venting, etc.

i'm getting very anxious for harvest. i have asked for advice on when to harvest and have gotten so many different answers

well. here we are on 8/26 - on the 47th day of flower. will she get much fatter?

take note buds are drawn close to eachother. i used twine to tie branches together.

well folks- its day 48 of flower and my plant is looking real close. i plan to harvest sept 1. that will allow 5 more days to ripen.

no pics.. im holding out. but they will come sometime.

well today is day 49 of flower and she has ripened so much in the last 2 days i am going ahead with the chop. im posting pictures of my plants before i cut so you can see where they were. i untied the string supporting buds and they practically crashed down from weight. i will have some hanging n' drying pics later on.

here are some pictures of my AK48 plant hanging and drying in my closet after trimming. i tied branches by their stem and attached it to the rail in my closet.

i took it easy trimming and just removed large fan leaves and smaller leaves lacking trichomes. i will tidy up buds later on. i like leaving buds on stems and some leaf on the bud - i feel buds will draw nutrients and water from these sources and continue to mature over the drying process.

i'm looking for a harvest of 4-5oz but i think it will be closer to 4. either way i'm happy. looking forward to a smoke report and difinitive yield in a few weeks.

Awsome Work!! How far away on average was your 400W? I just got a 400W HPS for my next grow.... They turned out great man!!!

hey buddy-thanks for the words.

i try to keep the light 10" away from the plant. in this small of a tent its kind of hard. but having several colas instead of one helps. i just position the plant in the most effective spot. good airflow and colas are far enough from the bulb not to burn. strong ventilation is key. i also put young short plants directly under the lamp. taller plants towards the outside.

i actually think i harvested early. im removing stems and small leaves and notice theres some "airy"ness to them. oh well. they still look good. i'm gonna let bubblicious go until the 1st of ocober

Did you notice a color change in the trichomes?
8weeks flower is short but im not used to that strain.

It looks like you had plenty or a excess of nitrogen in the last days, as your plants were very green, did you do a plain water flush for the last 3 days?
It can be hard to time it correctly, but when I see any trichomes change I stop nutes and just flush with plain water for about 3 or 4 days till most of the trichomes have changed
Ive just found that when a plant looks like it has consumed all the nutes in it or basically looks like a bud on a stick with a bunch of yellow withered leaves, the smoke is less harsh
but all in all great Grow!!!

i agree with u. there was an excess of nitrogen. i think leaves didn't die back b/c the plant wasn't ready. i know i harvested too early but i couldn't see the trichs with any definition so it is what it is.

hey man. thanks a lot. i see your somewhat of a new grower - any thing i can help with, dont hesitate.

i haven't updated with any pictures for bubblicious 1 & 2 for a while but plan to soon. both are looking great. also, i have 2 plants in the veg tent and will need new clones to replace bubblicious when she gets chopped soon. plenty of excitement coming upwith this grow. i plan to keep this thread updated continuously

My budget is quite stretched putting this all together for the first time and I was thinking about doing the home brew CO2 (sugar and yeast-described someplace here). Do you have any thoughts on this? It will keep producing CO2 even when the lights are off. Any downsides there?

When I get my thread up and running (soon) I will let you know so you can give input as I grow

we all gotta start somewhere.

ok so lets talk about co2. from what i hear, those home-made co2 systems can work pretty well. i think the key is to connect multiple bottles together and let them work in sync. as far as running co2 at night i dont think it will hurt. you will not be using higher than 1500ppm so i dont think they will overdose at night. the only problem with letting co2 run at night is the plants dont use it - therefore wasting resources. on the other hand materials are cheap in this method. i personally wouldn't want to check my bottles and remix ingredients on a regular basis(probably daily) but u have to know what works best for u. i think this would be a great way for you to start using co2 and see some good yields. just remember a plant can only grow as fast as its most limiting factor.

alright, i thought i would post some pictures since its been a while since i showed a few things.

in the following post i'm including pictures of 2 clones in my veg tent. they are looking really good imo. a little bit of browning in lowest fan leaves. i think i mentioned that i topped both plants but in different ways. one i FIMmed and the other was a straight topping. i really like the FIMmed plant. several heads. i plan to take clones from these plants soon.

bubblicious #2 was the latest addition the the flower tent. she has been through a little - when i was bending tops, on 2 seperate occasions branches broke. i didn't hesitate and got some twine to lash the branches together and it worked like a charm. one break was really bad but didn't even wilt due to my fast actions. lol.

i think i might call this plant "medusa" due to all the bud spots. really looking forward to watching this plant.

alright, this is the next plant to be harvested. the following are of bubblicious flowered 2 weeks after ak48. i posted on fdd2blk's "are my plants ready" thread and he said to go another week so we'll see how she looks then.
