http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_salt_water_kill_plants lol i googled it and this kinda makes sense. it say that if dissolved salts are to high the plants roots will loose osmosis and start revers osmosis and then start to go deficient. most plants can do 1200 of dissolved salts http://www.marijuanagrowing.com/dhtml/knowledgebase.php?faqid=16 and this one has a slew of details on how the different salts can interact with your roots and cause nute block outs much like the ph issues some times found
shit man there is a tone of fine detail around them dame dissolved salts .... going to have to get me a revers osmosis machine to clean my water. i am sure i still would have salt build up but maybe it wouldn't be so bad if i ran all my water through one
