New grower. I am getting a 2x2x4 tent. That's the max I can get atm. I was wanting to grow 3 different strains. I had looked at hydroponics for a while. Now looking at sog method. Should I do soil? Is it even possible to grow 3 different strains in that tight of a space?

The biggest problem may be light and heat.

4' is short for lights and ventilation AND still have room for mature plants.

Can it be done? Yes.

If this is your first grow you
Are taking on a big task.

Lots of unknowns with dif strains and to add size restrictions you will likely spend a lot of time guessing WTF just happened.

Message_1590120161676.jpg I have 4 in a 2 x 2 x 5. One of the plants is about 5 inches from the light which im afraid may be too close. I got these in their teen state off craigslist. Its possible. Its my first grow. I have some plants vegging so hopefully with that one the plants wont be so stretched out. I got some plants vegging under a 200 watt cfl I keep about 8 inches away. Trying to not let them stretch so much. Read that plants double in size when they flower. So far ive seen that to be true with my craigslist clones. The space i had to grow was originally 2 x 2 x 4 but I took the vegging cabinet out and gained the extra foot.

Oh wow they look great! I didn't know they double in size during flowering. What medium are you using?

Lmao well i may just try growing 2 then *fingers crossed* What if i had stronger lights during vegetation and then during flwoering i can change them to lower wattage? Do you think that would help with the issue. Im worried about space and light burn.

Using ocean forest. Tonight im switching the light to 11 hours on 13 hours off. Im not 100 they stopped stretching but im hoping that stops them. As far as using lower wattage , i know you asked someone else, but i think that'll do more bad than good. Just do your best to keep them short. In my cabinet I lost about 8 inches of space due to the air filter and lost 9 inches because of the pot. You are looking at really short plants, I was in the same bubble. You can only really grow 2 and a half foot plants. Get the lowryder strain.

Or look into mainlining https://rollitup.org/t/the-main-lining-thread.542308/

or scrog https://www.rollitup.org/t/oriahs-garden-supersoil-tga-perpetual-medical-scrog.521722/

I was looking at Bubba Kush, GSC, and Blue Dream. But I know lowryder is a good strain! :blsmoke: Have you had any issues during vegetation? Okay cool and ill keep away from the lower wattage. That definitely make sense. Can I ask what air filter u were using? I was looking at this as a main setup.

I think ill go for 2 medium sized plants. Do you think this is a good pairing? Thanks again Chumb :)

Air filter im not sure which. The cabinet came prebuilt. Only thing I replaced was the light, https://www.amazon.com/Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Flowering-Growing/dp/B01MY27Q9H/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=king+plus+1500+double+chips&qid=1590731651&sr=8-1. My tallest plant is about 6 inches from the light right now. Seems to be just fine. But its your grow. You can feel whats best. I went bigger hoping I would need a bigger grow space . I still spend a lot of my time reading journals and googling my grow space, not tent. The info is out there if you wanna overwhelm or just take it day by day and learn from experience. From what ive read, your plant wont outgrow your light just the space if you have it.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RM50EBQ/ref=redir_mdp_mobile_siteViewPreference?pc_redir=T1 this is what I got. Found it on craigslist. Took out the bottom shelf and using the 200watt cfl for my veg room and the t5 light for clone dome. Will eventually switch out the fan but for now it still works great. Have 3 sundae driver and 1 WC plant inside about 20 days into flowering. I dont know shat wc is, I got the clones off craigslist.

You can do it yes. I did 3 plants in same 2x2 before, 2 of 1 strain, and 1 of another. To make it work you will need to flower the plants when they are pretty small (im guessing 6-8"). Expect them to double in radius when you flip to flower and get 2-3x as tall depending on strain. You will probably need to do some LST to make them stay out of each others way and fill your space better.

I wouldn't recommend it though. It becomes really challenging because each strain will need different light intensity, nutrients, and training. If you do run more than one plant, ideally they are all clones from the same mom, so that they grow similarly. Even different phenos of the same strain can grow very differently.

I think if you focused on doing 1 large or 2 medium sized plants in the 2x2 to start it would make things a lot easier and increase your chance of success (and probably yield as well). Then just grow the next strain on the next round. Cannabis requires a lot of patience at all stages so I would relax and know that you have more beans in the stash, and make things simpler on yourself at first.

Hows about 1 mainlined plant to 8 tops in a 7 gallon fiber pot. This isnt my thread but its what im going for. I read mainlining really stunts the growth of the plant to where its pretty much controllable, this is my first grow and probably a difficult task but it seems most efficient. For sure never putting 4 in my cabinet again. I can see the wasted potential just 3 weeks into flowering.

Best solution.
Top the plant 2 or 3 times to produce 6-8 main stems and grow from there.
I normally yield 8-12 oz dried flower when I've run closet grows.
Seems good enough for me :bigjoint:
Just sitting and waiting. Honestly this is my first grow. Bought craigslist clones to test the waters, stuffed all four in there and enjoying the show. Again, this is not my thread, just have the same growing capacity and circumstance

15908998214252081779733939004050.jpgnot the best but they wont be more than a foot tall when i want to flower one. Or go for seeds. I need the experience and I like the idea of free seeds to practice on
