There are a few reasons I use tubs like that for clones. 1st off I hate the trays with ridges, holds to much water and clones dont sit flat. 2nd, it is a flat bottom which increases the surface area of the heating up to the tub. 3rd, it easy to just splash water in with no dome or cover, and I have noticed when you have a clone at 100% humidity and then throw her in a bucket systen, even if the plant had an awesome root system, it wilts for quite a while from the sudden change. So I like the tub. I keep about a 1/4in of water at the bottom. Just add daily or every other day. Clones usually ready for the next little tub in about 10 days, they stay there for a week then 3-4 weeks in a bucket. Have pics for update when the lights kick on this morning
