2x 150w HPS or 1x 400w HPS?

Hello!

I am currently growing 8 plants in a wardrobe that measures 5ft tall x 3ft wide and 2ft deep.
I have 1 fan for air intake and 1 for the exhaust.
The plants are in the 4th week of veg, i'm growing 1x G13 Labs Pure Gold, 3x Delahaze and 4 x Doublegum.
I already have 1x 150w HPS but have enough room to fit another 150w or i was thinking of upgrading to a 400w HPS but was a bit concerned that the heat from the 400w may be too much for this space.
Will i get a lot better results from the 400W than with 2 x 150w HPS?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

400w=50k lumens
150w=15k lumens ea

If you were going to have any issue with a 400 you'd have the same issue with two 150's. You can buy one with a cooltube like this:

Or DIY a cooltube pretty cheap with any old 400 hps. $6 glass at michaels craft store, it's called a candle chimney. Not anywhere near as nice but hey, it works.

Either way in addition you'll need a few feet of flex duct, some duct tape and a $30 fan at lowes or home depot.

Then you'd have a kick ass remote ballasted cooltubed light with absolutely no issue with heat at all. In addition, you can drop that light just as close to your plants as with the 150 you have now, because that's the point of a cooltube too.

400w with cooltube for sure. you'll be happy you did.

I have 2 150w and it is ok in my opinion.
But if you want the big bud porn your prolly going to want a 400w.

This is only my first grow but i have a 5 pot bubbler kit that is under the 2 150w.

This is my first grow. I think after this one i might try to get a 400w.
But if your in a crounch for money then start of with 2 150w since there
only 20$ and they aren't that bad.

Um... Yea i would have to say the 400 Watt HPS would be awsome with some cool tubes! Produce bigger yield!
