What he said!!

Your veg stage does not begin untill the cotlydons fall off, and you start growing "true" sets of fingered leaves.

i have a plant that has just went into flowering and i noticed that the cotydons haven't fell off yet. i don't think these matter much at all.

HERES A SHORT DEF-

A cotyledon ("seed leaf" from Greek: κοτυληδών kotylēdōn, from κοτύλη kotýlē, "cup, bowl") is a significant part of the embryo within the seed of a plant. Upon germination, the cotyledon may become the embryonic first leaves of a seedling. The number of cotyledons present is one characteristic used by botanists to classify the flowering plants (angiosperms). Species with one cotyledon are called monocotyledonous (or, "monocots") and placed in the class Liliopsida. Plants with two embryonic leaves are termed dicotyledonous ("dicots") and placed in the class Magnoliopsida. Sunflowers are dicotyledons.

Which is why we are the pro's, and you....the noob! They matter son, those little ctlydon's are the energy and food that the little seedlings need to grow the first few weeks. If you still have cotlydon's...you have flowered too early. Stick to smoking it, not growing it if you think that!!!!

Mmmm...sounds nice...G13 is a very potent plant...if grown correctly in a good enviroment...look up and read up on the strains to see what they like best, and you should have a succsesful harvest. Good luck friend!:joint::mrgreen:

good point, my whole grow is just wrong and you are my god.

i will put my plant back into vegging for some number of weeks until those energy center -ctlydons fall off. since you are saying 10 weeks isn't long enough. how long do you think it may take anyway?

on second thought, i will just disagree with you.

and you are not my dad he is dead so don't call me son,

They look ok. from what I saw. I am at two weeks and I have a good many more leaves than you, but I have an indica that is supposed t grow short fast and bushy... I also have been putting no less than 3 26w CFLs on them ever since teh 3rd day of them being above ground. Give them more light and they will have more energy to grow. If you want to deal with fungus gnats you can can also lay a piece of tape flat on the surface of the soil... sticky side up, of course and just check it every chance you get. Definitely put more lights on those plants and keep your head up! CFLs are honestly not meant for getting yeilds of 500 - 600 grams per square meter, so just drop the expectations of being a CannaBaron from out of your closet and happily grow your own Sacrament/medicine/fun.... whatever.

Congrats with your little girls and I hope we get to see you kill the stanky bitches after they are big and strong! Good Luck!

I'm just a novice, at least with indoor grows, but believe that you have true leaves there, and thus are now in the vegetative stage. But anywhooo, I think i'd add a couple more bulbs to each plant now and let er rip. When they get enough light, moisture, and nutrients, you've replicated nature and they get all happy happy and grow as much as they can. good luck with the grow.

Oh and I forgot to mention... It seems that the tendencies of this plant to grow and mature are a little bit different between strains... My seed leaves stayed on for all of 4 days and my plant (Aurora Indica by Nirvana) is just as healthy as any, but the book Buds For Less uses the Mango strain (also an indica) and you can see the author's seed leaves are green and healthy well into his 2nd week of flower, if my memory serves me correctly. I have just gotten about 18 days into my first grow but I always considered the vegetative state to begin after the second set of true leaves are easily recognizable. Not a decree or a law... just the practices from one noob grower to the next. Have you named them yet?
