2nd Week Flowering - Top Leaves Canoeing Cal-Mag Mebe?

Hi again RIU, been a while... I just started it's flowering nutes on thursday, AN MBG and 1/3rd strength Hammerhead 9/18, fed it at 1000-1050 ppm, under a 600w hps, only 2 out of the 4 are doing this, out of those 2, 1 is heavier indica than the other and is further into the flowering stages than the other.

First 4 are from the short bushy indica, others are from the sativa, (they are different ages but still both 2 weeks into flowering. indica is about 3 weeks older than the sativa)

Edit: Noticed the pictures didn't keep their order... you should be able to tell which is which though...
Edit2: Forgot to mention the stems are starting to get a pink/red color on the side that gets light (underside is perfectly green), though they've done this before, I ignored it since nothing else was acting up, it went away, now its returning on these 2...

That is nutrient burn, take some pics with ur hps light off but thats what it looks like

think thats the claw. typical of nitrogen overdose

Thanks, will keep that in mind... still curious as to why only 2 of them are showing, these 2 are different strains (the other 2 that aren't showing any issues are from the same bag as 1 of these). If it is a nute burn its nothing like the first nute burn I got earlier in veg, and its only the tops, the rest of the ladies look picture perfect.

Hey I have 5 plants 1 month into flowering on my table doing the same thing. My strain is 70/30 Sativa/Indica, and it's really bad on plant tops, but not all of them, and can in some spots be seen lower down.

I did notice I changed my timer wrong, and had one flood(out of 2 a day) that was on for 40mins, and like that for about a week. I've since changed it back to a 10min flood, about 2 nights ago. So I'll see if that makes a difference.

I've heard Nitrogen toxicity can cause the claw, but I've pretty much heard anything can, from over watering to heat stress to pH issues. I do rez changes about every 2 weeks, and use phosphoric acid as my pH down, so I dunno if nitrogen toxicity is a factor.

I did however bump my flowering nutes up to 1400EC(980ppm .7 scale) from around 900. From my burn in veg, and comparing to my other kush plant, I'd call these light feeders. So maybe it is nute burn?

I'm more inclined to say over watering or heat stress

how are the roots looking? and what's your pH?

same thing here...70/30 sativa/indica and fan leafs curling down and inwards (give them some time). I just left it be, since nothing made sense. Temps are ok, lights not even close, watered soil pH is around 6.6-6.8 and water pH is 7.0 (RO water). So I just assumed it was a sativa thing, because on those fan leaves you can barely even see the main vein (don't know what the technical term is) so my guess was those leafs can't support their own weight and curl down. My other plant, which is more indica, has none of these problems, just like you say. Same environment for both of mine.

The reason some do it and others dont is strain and genetic, why having a comunity res with different types
Is a bitch till you learn what strains work well with eachother, that is the claw and is caused by over feeding,
Heat,nutes, even to much wind from a fan can do it, but im thinking to much nutes. Also you should look at
Your roots.

Just for the record my flood table has all the same strain, and my kush plant is in a bubbler in the other tent.

My flood table usually has a pH of 6.1 when I check it, and I usually lower it to 5.5 daily(mainly during veg), but lately with the flowering nutes I've just been lowering it to 5.8 and not even every day. It seems to go to 6.1 right after the first feeding and stay there for days.

I've also noticed leaves on the very bottom of my plants are falling off. Some were normal green looking, while others were shriveled yellow and brown looking. There not a lot of light getting down there, but could that be related?

And for something really weird, I have 2 bud tops right under the 600w aircooled bulb (3-4" under the glass) that are hard looking with no hairs coming out. Here's a pic of the worst one compared to a normal looking one

so yeah i have one plant (out of 7) that also does it. it's growing in coco and the only thing that it differs from the others is that it was in a too small pot for too long (till 2 weeks in flower), and genetics - it's some bagseed. so i'm also thinking it's mainly genetics. still weird though.

as for the tops - it's too hot or too much light. i also have that - where its too hot in my scrog, i hardly see any resin forming.

did you have any light leaks, possibly tried to revegg

Yeah that one was directly under the bulb. Still a good 4" under, and not hot on the hand(only the glass is hot) but I think it was still just too much. Everyone has said it looks like heat stress so I've bent it out of the way a little to see if that helps.

I am still concerned about the droopy leaves tho. Not looking good.

From what I've learned, is that the leaves canoe and curl in an attempt to transpire less and save moisture. So could these canoe leaves be from NOT ENOUGH water?? I flood for 10mins at lights on, and again 1hr before lights off. So that's 11hrs between waterings. But I have checked down under the hydroton just before the last watering, and there is still moisture down there and the hydroton is moist. Roots smell healthy too.

I lowered my EC from over 1400ec to under 1200ec, so I'll see if that makes a difference. But now I've changed a couple things, so if it gets better I wont be 100% what did it.
