2nd Grow w/ Pics - Gimme Some Feedback & Opinions

Hey All -

Wanted to share some pics of my 2nd grow ever. This is a shed grow, seedlings sprouted mid March. I kept them inside my house until the smell got too strong and then moved them outside. Just random seeds I had collected over the years. Started with 20 seedlings, plucked the ones that were under performing and then plucked the males. Left with 6 females. They've been on a 12/12 cycle for 3-4 weeks now.

Let me know what you guys think and give me some poi ters for harvesting and drying so I don't ruin all this work so far. Thanks!

2nd grow? Nice. Looks like someone did their homework!

However, You GOTTA get some reflection going. You're losing soooooo much light by not having the plants surrounded with reflection(mylar, panda film, white paint) Hell, even a ghetto style white cardboard wall would work. You gotta try to trap that light and get it on those plants. Otherwise your yields will suffer, BIG TIME!!!
Other than that I'd say don't change anything.

Thanks man. These seeds are 2 years old also! Kind of shocked myself. And that's a great point - I've thought about covering the base with some aluminum foil at times and just never did, but you're totally right, the tops look great and further down you go, the buds get smaller and smaller. I've tried to use some LST to pull branches out if the way to let more light down. I'm assuming if I throw some foil down on the floor now it wont hurt anything this far into the bloom?

DO NOT use foil! Foil reflects heat, NOT light.

Again, you want them in some sort of reflective box. This is why grow tents are so popular, and a great way of growing indoors

Got ya. So mylar would be ok? Something like this? Too late to use it or will I get some benefit before harvest?

Yes that would work fine. Anything that reflects light good would work. You could paint a piece of plywood white and benefit a lot. I would guess your plants are only getting 60-70% of what they could/should, light wise.

This stuff works great and can be sourced at any bigbox hardware store. Its easy to cut to size(fishing line) https://www.lowes.com/pd/Common-1-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-Actual-0-9375-in-x-3-875-ft-x-7-875-ft-R-Expanded-Polystyrene-Foam-Board-Insulation/3365576
Nice thanks for the tip. Think I'll just prime a roll of Mylar from Amazon and get it by Tues, throw it down to finish this grow, and then really work on putting up walls and whatnot for the next grow. I knew I wasnt getti g enough light bounced around - like you said, that's the whole point of a tent, to reflect it from every direction. I'm just stoked they got as decent as they did with this half assed setup I got going.
