2nd grow~My Secret Garden

High all,

Just wanted to share and return the love w/thanx!

After my first grow which didnt go so well I decided to try a tent to be able to control the environment a little better.I believe its working so far *crosses fingers*.I got the Secret Jardin DR150W and a 600W mh/hps. Im using a 265 active air blower to pull air through my reflector for now but may upgrade it once I get a carbon filter.For intake and cooling I a have redirected the central ac into my tent which does wonders.This grow I went with FF soil with extra perlite in the mix.For clones I was lucky and snatched the last couple grandaddy purple and 1 puple haze.Most of the time the clubs or either out or have week looking plants or unwanted strains.I am also using the FF nutrients which so far seem to be doing the trick.I only vegged for a week and as of today am at day 24 of flowering.Its begging to smell a lot like xmas

DIY projects for me can sometimes be costly so I just bit it and bought this after doing tent research.Im glad I got it!No light leaks,phat zipper,not flimsy and it seems to keep the the right enviroment.I also like how clean it stays.This model is aprox 3x5x7 and was a little over 200.Its perfect for someone who only needs to do a few plants now and then for his/her pain.With the way this thing stays cool im able to keep the light low and im sure its whats keeping these girls nice and short and the buds are getting so amazingly thick around the stock and stems.That Tiger bloom is no joke.I got a co2 setup for them this weekend so im excited to see what happens to something already looking primo

awesome, good to hear the temps are keepin within a good range even with a 600w light. and nice work on running the a/c into the tent.

thx.....even when the ac is off at times it doesnt seem to get past 85.The blower and fan I have in there keeps things circulating well.This also help with an already high humidity level keeping it around 50-55% where otherwise would be up in the 70's.I swear sometimes my place was built on a swamp.

Where do i get a tent like that?

I got mine through bghydro

now ive seen those i a hydro catalog for a few hundred more.

was woundering is that stuff fire resistant or fire proof?

id grab one hands down if there are.

I bought mine on Ebay its called a hydroponic grow tent mine has vents and light holder and zips up its nice.

Just go to ebay and type this in. It was about a 100 Bucks i won the bid.

~Update~

Checking out other pic's got me messin with my camera.Girlies are at day 29.This is one of my 2 Grandaddies.Ive began adding a little FF Big Bloom along with the Tiger.I am also thinking about tossing a little Kabloom here and there.The buds are sooooooo dense.Gunna be using the grinder on this batch Im kinda wishin I had 1 or 2 more going but keeping them fewer and smaller seem to be helping with humidity levels.I get my Co2 tank filled this week and will hopefully have better pix to come......

They loved the break from the nutes and then I tried a little of that blackstrap molasses,wow!They seem to respond overnight.I think Ill give'em another dose next week and maybe during the flush.

One question...If power goes out for an hour and a half during mid day on 12/12 does it completely whack out the cycle at this stage?So far they dont seem affected but if it did whats the worse that can happen or what to watch for?I also found out that my cat goes ape shit over leaves and loves to eat them,worse than cat nip!I caught her on a munch session while mixin nutes....lolz,bad kitty.

They dont seem to be showing any signs of getting any more height to them unless your comparring them to cactus,but dam if I cant put my fingers around them anymore.The 3 stems are 3 phat colas approx 15" long!My girls are bulking up and are soooooo tight.It looks as if each of the nodes or doubling and tripleing.All the side shoots and stems are following suit.If im not mistaking,im starting to notice a purpleish tint forming on the tips of the nodes and buds.Kinda reminds me of someone big,mean and green.Maybe I should play angry music in there all day long

yo swik bra,dont sweat it.im sure you woulda noticed something already and even still,you lost power for a cpl,no biggy,they got a few more winks.as long as it wasnt the opposite and more light was added you should be kewl!Sick grow bro

Just another update.....Day 42!!!

Im not gunna say it just yet and jynx myself,but im getting closer.No real news except I got my co2 tank going and after the 3rd day of it im starting to see and smell a noticeable difference I was worried about the humidity so rather than taking any chances, I leave my fan on and only allow the tank to run 15 on/off.I know it may be a waste but I feel its better than none at all and the highest my humidity gets is 68%.Should this turn out sucessfull,I will add another plant to total 4 and let them veg a week longer for my next grow.Oh yeah,just gave one of them her second water/molasses only feeding and am thinking maybe one or two more feeding till full flush.The buds are getting almost blurry to stare at from all the crystals and they are remaining to stay super tight.comments and suggestions are always welcome,enjoy the pix.

Ive only had 1 successful grow with a few ugly ones since so ive been paying real close attention to all the great advise from RIU peeps and giving my girlies all the love they can get.
I just checked out your grow,lookin nice man.I may toy around w/cfl's once I get a cpl grows in and get tired of the high electric bills.I cant get over the fact of you token a tommy spliff.....FTW!

What kind of A/C unit are u running in your tent. I am thinkin about growin in my attic but it has no air at all. I plan on gettin a tent similar to the one u have but don't know what to do about air temp? What's your advice?
