2nd Grow Ever

Whats good everybody, This is gonna be my first Grow Journal.
My first grow didnt work out so well, but im going to try and make it up with this one. I have new lighting, pots, soil, timer, all of it.

So i planted 2 seeds straight into Dr. Earth Home Grow Organic Potting Soil, 6 days ago and 1 of them sprouted up yesterday afternoon. The other one didnt come up so im thinking its not gonna make it, but will see i guess. I have two 4ft 40 watt Philips Plant and Aquarium floros and one 60 watt Agrosun Dayspot Grow Bulb for light, combined i have about 4000 lumens on my seedling right now, im hoping thats enough. all though the floros are only 2700k, the Dayspot bulb has a full daylight spectrum. I have a 6 inch fan blowing in there as well, keeping the temps around 75 to 80. Attached is a pic of my small closet set up.

Input and Suggestions are appreciated I will be updating my journal every few days.

the other seed will crack; don't toss it. that's enough light for now, as long as the seedling isn't stretching to the light. do a weekly post......it'll be more interesting, and more will sub. as i have. good luck!

Well since the rest of this thread got erased i am going to get it back up to date.

Today is 1 week since the light cycle switch, not showing sex yet that i can see. More worried about the yellowing on the leaves, i was told by 1 person that it is Iron Lockout but another told me a calcium deficiency, but i dont know which one it is. These are the pics of the yellowing leaves, its not that bad right now


But i gave it its molasses feeding yesterday in the morning before i found the yellow spots, so if it is a calcium deficiency the molasses has calcium in it so it should be good. But if it keeps getting worse i will plan on flushing out the soil and fixing it that way.

Its looking pretty good to me hopefully it was just a calcium deficiency and i fixed it up. If anybody has any ideas of what it really is that the plant has then please comment and tell me, along with a way to fix it.

Its about 7 to 8 inches right now with alot of leaf growth, its a bush cant wait to tell if its a female

Well i flushed the soil out 2 days in a row with a lot of microfiltered drinking water (couldnt find distilled at the time) and it seems to have worked because the color changes have stoped.. but it is now growing up at an alarming rate and all of the tops have a yellowish tinge to it.. I dont know whats gonna happen next, i am gonna let the soil completely dry up before watering again. The soil is all compacted now so its not very loose, is there anyway i could fix this?? or will it even be a problem???

All right, i now know for sure that my crop is indeed a female Today is day 17 since the light switch and she is looking really good, imo. All though the ants came back for another round, getting sick of dealing with these fucken ants.. there was more of them this time and they were crawling out of my soil which is never good. So i got an ant trap from a buddy of mine and put it on top of the soil, so hopefully that works cause i really dont want to deal with ants the rest of this grow.

Yep she is looking real nice, got alot of tops on her. Hopefully is gonna give me a good amount of budz

All though i have no doubt that she is gonna hermie up from all the stress i put on her with the problem she had and the flushing... I think i have all ready saw some balls but i am not sure. I am not to worried about it but it would have been cool to have seedless bud. More seeds for me though

So today is the start of the 4th week since i switched the light cycle to 12/12. This will be the start of the 2nd week since i saw the plants first pistils The pistils have gotten longer and there is alot of them now. But i noticed a few days ago that it also had ball clusters on most of the top nodes which is fucken bull shit! but i guess thats what i get for messing up with the molasses and stressing her out. I cut a few of the balls off but there are still a few on her, i will try and get most of them before they end up splitting they dont look mature yet so i think im all right for a day or 2. All though i have no doubt she will seed up, im just hoping that there will still be enough budz on there for me and i get more free seeds so its not all bad right?

I have to water this girl every 2 days now, she is sucking that shit up quit. The last 2 waters i have given her a little miracle grow liquid plant food. Its got 8-7-6 ratio so basically good for vegging because of the nitrogen but i have been using it cause some of the leaves were all ready yellowing (i figure thats just from the lack of light on the lower leaves now) and i am afraid to put the molasses in it again but i am going to try it on the next watering with a very small does. I am thinking half a teaspoon to a liter of water, that sound about right???

My grow is still going strong a lot of lower leaves have fallen off all ready, i am hoping that will stop soon before all the leaves are gone, the budz havnt really came in yet its just alot of pistils right now still. I have a few questions about that but first a few pics from throughout the past week



What you guys think? she is lookin mighty fine to me. I am wondering when all these pistils and bud sites will actually start growing the budz we all know and love so much, anybody want to give me an estimate on when she will actually start growing good sized budz instead of just pistils. The tricomes have been coming in the past few days all over the leaves closest to the pistils, they are smelling up the closet hella bad its awesome. but since those tricomes have been coming in i havnt seen much growth with the actual budz or the pistils for that matter. Thats normal right?? I estimate about a little under 3 to 5 weeks till she is all done, does that sound about right??? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated

My girl has now been flowering for 4 full weeks today, 28 days. Tomorrow will be the start of week 5.. i hope to see alot of bud growth or trichome growth in the following week. She is all ready looking hella chrystaly and makes the room smell like real fresh weed Take a look at her, she is getting real frosty


These are pics from throughout the week. I switched out one of the 23 watt daylight cfls for a regular soft white 23 watt cfl to hopefully speed up bud growth on the plant. I plan on switching the other daylight bulb out before the last 2 weeks of flowering. What you all think so far????????? Any suggestions? comments? critisizm?

Yea its hella frosty huh, its probably cause I got fluorescents. There is more trichs then bud lol but it is only the 5th week of flower

Yea I'm hoping to see some real bud growth like what u got going on soonish. What should I be seeing during the 5th and 6th weeks of flower? Just more pistils?
