2nd Grow CFL FEM Jock Horror and Short Rider

Just was wondering how long before I should harvest by someone elses opinion?

not that you'll have a better ratio of females with non feminized, but a lower ratio of female plants that become hermaphrodite's.

Your black Jack looks killer! How is the smell? Is it really strong? I have my 3 Black Jacks going for about 7 days now... Give me some tips homie! yours look awesome! How long did you veg the BJ for before you went 12/12?! I want mine to be like yours! I was going to start feeding it at 1/4th strength with fox farm Grow Big on day 10? whats do you think? Its my first grow so if you help me out along the way I will be stoked!...

Thank You for the compliment HerbofWisdom! The smell I can best describe as being very lemony with a touch of pine in there. It is VERY strong but it's the best part of waking up, because right before the lights come on my bedroom smells of coffee, strange but I love it! ; ) Mine is hydro I see your doing soil. Well I have not had any luck growing in soil yet! I use GH Flora Series nutes 1/2 the strength with the supplied schedule the waterfarm kit contained. What type of lights are you using? I am using CFL's through out the whole grow. I do want to invest in a HPS but heat is a issue where my grow space is. I vegged my BJ for 4 weeks. What kind of soil are you using generally you don't need to start feeding them for about a month. But this strain seems very stable compared to other stains i have grown. Im about to harvest in 2 weeks. I will give a full review after I harvest. I've already tested some a 6 weeks the high was very uplifting and lasted for a very long time. And that was only at 6 weeks so this is going to be some good herb! I didn't take any clones from this one because I want to test a few strains out before I stick with 1 or 2. I will grow BJ again and take clones! I love this plant. Oh yeah and the buds are DENSE!! Let me know if you have anymore questions I am more then willing to help you out. Well the end is near and I will be harvesting the black jack in a week in a 1/2 I will be pulling the jock horror any day now. I've tested it and It's great! Not the best plant but it was the third on the experience list. I probably will get a 1/4 oz. off the jock horror the buds dry VERY Dense though! For my next grow I will be growing 1 Jock horror Plant Hydro and 1 Short Rider, Since Nirvana sent me some more short riders for free I will attempt this strain again. I've stepped up the game with a better growing facility which includes a 250watt HPS and CFL Supplemental Lighting, I've also acquired a 95 CFM ActiveAir Squirrel Cage fan. My growing space will be 3.5' x 3.5' x 5' our ambient temps are lower now so I don't think heat will be a problem, that's my goal anyways. I will vent the 95CFM fan into the attic and attach a 6" to 4" reducer and acquire 6" Dryer Ducting, run the dryer ducting to one side of the hood and on the other side attach a Carbon Filter to some 6" dryer ducting for smell. will this work ok? The HPS Light I will be using Is a Hydrofarm Xtrasun Air Cooled hood which is sealed.

Hey, What kinda yield are you looking at with the Black Jack? You think you will get 3-4 oz off it?

congradulations man, i've never tried black jack but black domino is killer, i was wondering, hehe, even after talking a little shit on em, how much you think youll yeild offa the shortriders? im considering some autoflowers for next years season.

I am really not sure maybe 2 OZ's just by the looks of things I'm impressed at what cfl's can do. The Colas are amazing they have very little Foilage on them and HUGE! I will post some pics later today. As for the short riders I am not sure because my first grow with short riders turned hermy on me and I Prematurely harvested it and probably got a 1/8th off of it. But The smoke sucks but tastes good, that's about it. Although I am going to give this strain another chance I will veg them for a month then I will start a grow journal on them during flowing.

I dont know about the shortrider Valjean... Looks like my homie metalgod veged them for ever and still got little buds + Yields. The blackjack is the way to go! Your water farm is killer brah. I wish I could have you show me it in person! looks dope!... I gota learn that ! im gunnin for 3-4 oz per! fingers crossed! 2 is solid for CLF... My props! My ladies are looking great! They love the FoxFarm! 400 mw MH is just doing great! temps are awesome ! right at 78-79... the are really taking off. Try a soil grow next and teach me a Hydro one! That would be awesome!

Here they are at 8.5 weeks I was thinking about pulling the Jock horror. I've tested it and it's potent. Im going to leave the Black Jack another 1.5 more weeks. Not to sure whats wrong with the jock horror though. I've Just been giving them plain water for about a week.

Well I am going to harvest Wednesday or Friday about 50% trichomes on the black jack are cloudy not to many amber ones which are actually Red not amber. I've seen trichome pics this same trait though. Gonna overhaul my grow room after harvest and cant wait to start my next grow I have decided I will be doing Jock Horror in hydro and since I have a shitload of short rider seeds i'm going to attempt this one again in soil. With a lot more of experience this time and a 250 watt hps with supplemental CFL Lighting

wow, fucking beautiful. another week and it'd look fucking beautifuler. i like to wait till most trichs are amber or at least about half, i always step harvest so i see bud from different stages of every strain, i don't really notice a big difference in "head" to "body" high from cloudy to amber but it seems to last longer and i like the extra weight. but if your in a hurry it looks like its definitely in its window.

Where are the final bud photos? How much yield?

One quick thing you may want to try is when its reday to harvest. that day early in the morning (lights on). go cut the light and leave em for two days. it looks like the sand man came and sprinkled the buds with dust. when flushing you should generaly start at week six and flush for two weeks. when in soil you want to flush the plant with five times more water than soil. so for a five gallon bucket you would dump 25 gallon o water thru it as quick as it will let you.
