That is some crazy growth!!!! i never saw a plant do that on it's own!!! Once it grows a couple sets of leaves, i would bury that part. maybe it will root and stay strong. I always top off the soil right up to the coty leaves after a couple weeks. it helps the root base out, plus it keeps the stem very strong. keeping a fan directly on the seedlings help make them big and strong also. Good Luck!!! I'm sub'd for the action!!!!

Update... The seedlings are doing great. Built a cool little shelf unit so the plants are off the floor and I have more space for clones now when the time comes... Still only watering no food, just adding soil for added support as seedlings grow taller... Take a look at new pix, the close up is of the Panama Red seedling.

The other pix are my Bubba Kush plant on day 56 of flowering, ANyone have any idea on how long til its ready to chop??? Enjoy...:joint::mrgreen:

Update... For my bubba kush plant, now 62 days into flower, I have retired the 2' t8s and gone completely cfl, adding 6 20w(75w equiv.) bulbs, for a total of 10 bulbs to finish up the flowering process. Made this cool light fixture for $25 at walmart, thx to a journal from another cfl grower here at riu.

As for the seedlings the two oldest (Ak47 and Bubba Kush) the bottom leaves started to yellow, the first true set of leaves... looks to me like Nitrogen deficiency, but I'm still a noob so not 100% on that, I did just give first feeding of MG all purpose at 1/4 strength (23.5% Nitrogen) Others still looking great, close up of smallest plant is of panama red. See new pix... Any comments, questions, advice welcomed. bongsmilie

I wouldn't worry about that leaf dying and falling off. the immature leaves will fall off most of the time. go very easy with those nutes. the fox farms you are using has enough nutrients in it for the first 2-3 weeks. keep em growin!!

Thx stoney!! Yea, it's been 2.5 weeks in the soil, so that's why I decided to go ahead and do a light feeding, but you're right I'm not to worried about the bottom leaves dying, just don't want the problem spreading throughout the plant. I guess that's just my noobie mentality worrying too much. Thanks for the advice bongsmilie

It's LST (Low Stress Training) Makes for shorter bushier plants. Look up some LST threads, there's lot's of good stuff on this site. :bigjoint:

Hey glad to see you stop by again stoney...

So here are updates.. I came home today to find my Panama Red seedling all shriveled up and damn near lifeless, I don't know what the cause was, but that was the one I was looking forward to most!:wall:

As for the ak47 and Bubba kush the bottom leaves that were yellowing I just snipped off and they're doing fine

and the Master Kush and White Siberian are moving along nicely so far too

My Bubba Kush plant thats on day 66 of flower is shooting white hairs out everywhere and new bud sites are forming all over, not sure what thats about... but I'm just gonna let it grow til the buds look ready to harvest. (Anyone that's experienced this please share your experience and any advice you'd have on the subject :bigjoint:)

Take a look at pix, any comments, advice, criticism always welcome.

Pix in order, Panama Red, Ak47, White Siberian, Master Kush, Bubba Kush, Bubba Kush

the young ones are looking great... well except for the first one... sorry she isn't doing so well. Is that the one where the stem turned in a full loop?

I'm a little confused about the BK though.... I see the hairs, that is a good sign. but the last three pics aren't of the one in flowering for 66 days, right??

Thx again stoney, yeah the one dying is the one that did the full loop... And yea thats the BK, day 67 now... It's a 12/12 from seed plant (planted Feb. 11) and after 10 weeks (April 9th) it showed sex sprouting it's first pistils, the buds in the middle of the plant have swollen and lots of white hairs turning orange, but the top and the bottom of the plant are just now starting to bud. I don't get it.

Here's a pic of that same Bk plant above right after it's initial pistils (April 13)

If anyone can explain this, that'd be cool. bongsmilie In the meantime I'm just gonna watch it grow and see what she does.

aaahhhh it was 12/12 from seed.... I'm sure you said that before and i just missed it!! it is hard to see from the photos, but what you may have is foxtails growing. they kind of grow like nipples on a bud. if it is foxtails, that is a good thing... bigger buds!

Sweet. This is bagseed bk, but the one on attitude says 65-70 days flower time. From the looks of it i have at least 30 more days. I'm keeping a close eye on the trichs though, they're all still clear no cloudy or amber yet
