2nd attempt, first was a disaster

Hello everyone! Just looking for hints and advice while preparing and growing my 2nd crop.

I'll start by sharing the disasters that were with the 1st attemt: Electricity!!! What a bitch! I have 3 600 watt hps and kept blowing the breaker whenever i tried switching from 2 to 3 lights. That is when the saga began. Between trying to keep the grow room cool in the hot socal summer and trying to add the third light in the flower stage i managed to not only blow my fuses on the hottest of the hot days, but actually somehow, someway blew the power to my entire house, for one full day we cooked with flashlights over the stove and tried to move about in the dark. We escaped with only minor scrapes and bruises. Once i gave up trying to run that third light($500 in electrician bills later) the next problem arose...a hermie!!! A fucking hermaphrodite, can u beleive that bullshit? I know both situations are my fault and trust me when i say i have learned my lesson about improper preparation and observance. Needless to say the entire crop(4 skunk kush, 6 white widow, 2 master kush, and 3 surprises) ended up completely seeded...In retrospect, one of the surprise was a very nice plant that i plan on using the seeds for future generations, but the hermie was a nigtmare as far as finished product. Next was an ongoing invasion of spider mites, also probably my fault for not being anal with my cleaning practices, but those little fuckers are a son of a bitch! Needless to say, three disasters, two of which are being dealt with as we speak, can really put a damper on ones ego, but i vow to learn and correct problems so any input would be appreciated.

Here is where i am at now. I have fixed the electrical problem, yeah!! I have sprayed down the entire room with a bleach solution in order to try and neutralize any residual pollen. My next step is to bomb the room for any mites or mote eggs left around. I am going to the grow shop tomorrow to get the bombs, i think 2 should do it in my 10x5x6 room. Then next weekend it is off to hollywood for a new batch of clones, I heard of a new shop that only deals with clones in north hollywood and they even have a farmers market on the weekends so i am very excited to check it out and see the variety that should be available. I am looking for northern lights unless they got something that is purple and then i know i will have to go with that. One thing is for sure, i am going to stick with only one stain this time. What else, what else... has anyone out there had any problems with electronic ballasts, i had one guy tell me they run on a bad frequency and that when all of the tvs convert to digital my room will stand out like the 4th of july, is this gut crazy or should i be concerned? ANyhow, i will be adding to this post/journal as my next journey continues. But befor i go, has anyone used phosphload? I read a little about it here and i think it might help me with yeild, any input i would gladly accept.

Best Regards and Peace...

Well it took a little longer than expected but i got my new batch of clones for my second run. Trying my luck with mazar and ml ultra...this is my forst time even hearing about theses strains, but the clones look great and they are well rooted. I had a nice talk with rhe gut from my hydro store and picked up a few new nutes and re[laced a couple on his recommendation. I have transplanted my babis in an 1 bag t 1 bag mixture of oceans forest and light warrior mediums alond with hydroton rocks. My nuted for veg are cns-17 grow, lxr as my catalyst, florolicious plus , and I added voodoo juice and vegan compost tea to my regimine. Lucky me, the combo I am using is pefectly ph balanced at 6.8, but boy does it take alot of that expensive voodoo juice. I just got through checking on them with the lights on and boy do they seem to be responding well to their new home! I would love any pointers from anyone with experience with these strains. I will try to get some pics of the set up soon,,,until then happy growing:joint:

Hello again, some good news... I am 5 days in and they are responding fantastic!! The tallest of the bunch is 8 inches and they are looking a little bushy already... could be my imagination, but all signs are positive so far. I plan on posting pics over the weekend to share with fellow growers so until then, light one up for me:bigjoint:

hello again... sorry I took so long, but here they are, the first pics. Please tell me what you think. Any advice on the one plant that is behind all the others schedule would be helpful. And still waitin on some advice on growing these strains, mazar and mk ultra. By the looks of things, I am going to flower them next week which will be exactly 4 weeks after transplant. I think that will give the mk ultra enouch time to fill thoses big pots with roots. One more question, when you guys switch to flower do you flush before going to new nutes or do you simply make the changes? Thx for any input...:bigjoint:
