your plants may go through a stop in growth untill the roots establish a good foothold in the soil, just be patient :)

4 of them actually grew overnight!!! but I see a few are stunted, and not looking so good..
I got my order from that "other" seed company, and they shorted me by 10 THC snow seeds :-( so of course, I emailed them...my 3 fem freebies just say NY-F...wonder if it's NYC diesel? OoO

so instead of 75 seeds, they sent 63 :-( (the website specifically says 5 free seeds with every order...they say they "upgraded me to the 3 feminized seeds.." I wish they would have asked what I preferred!

great, they are telling me to double check that they were packaged..as if I'm lying..grrr. So I soaked the seeds overnight that I am germing..and this morning I put them between dampened coffee filters (isn't as porous as paper towel) Then tagged, into a dark box in a warm place till they pop! I am very excited for this..wonder what my male/female ratio will be..hopefully at least 50%, I can always make mums out of the one doing best of each strain..then I will be able to do a perpetual harvest thing..
So how big does a seedling have to get before any of you put it under HID's? These 3 wk olds seem a LOT happier now under T-5 then they were under the 1000 watt MH.All that ridging, that was making the foliage look 3-D..is leveling out and leafs are smooth again on almost every plant (- the 2 ice not happy with me after transplanting them) I may give them another week and if they continue to yellow/decline I may toss them..they need new growth.
Or..maybe they LIKED the higher ppm I was giving them, and that is why the older foliage is yellowing, they need more N, you think?
Let me know what ya think, opinions very sought after here..
Have an amazing day~

one thing that does suck about "regular seeds" is you have to wait to find out how many males you get, wasted resources, etc..

My last bigger plants that died, they showed sex after only 3-4 days under 12/12..then bumped em back to 18...now that I think of it, that seems to coincide with when they quit putting out new foliage/growing. I guess had they lived, they would have started vegging, again..right?
I read so many places of people harvesting, then re-vegging the harvested plant, and getting a 2nd harvest, how does that work?

OK..thought I would take pics at least every couple days, I do seem to see a bit of difference now that they are in soil, no more yellowing of new growth, be great if your soil could hold all the nutes ya need for most of the plants life!! I have seen organic people layer diff nutes at different levels in the pot, thats good stuff! Easy breezy!
ok here's a 2 day update on the lil wenches..1 crazy thing, bubble #4 which I came close to tossing, because it's first 2 sets of leaves were sooo deformed..thought it was developmentally disable4d, lol. It is now the biggest plant!
I did remove the 1srt 2 sets of fan leafs, and it's growing a lot of underbush, and the starts of some stems/branches.
And the romulan GF..holy moly, just since the last pic it is looking good, just gave it the 540 ppm nutes out of the res (why waste em)she only had a few leafs on her...well after the incident with the bennies, she had none, look how they have come back..don't know if theres something, a way I can prune her to make her get bushier..if someone knows, plz chime in!!!
Have a wonderful evening everyone..

yes they would have re vegged but may have had some fucked up growth.

you probally have enough nutes in that soil to fully vegg them providing you dont plant on having plants over 3 foot

Was wondering, how young can you 12 hr them to show sex, thinking it may be better than wasting nutes on the boys..
Ohhh and I already have 6 bubble gums with tails sprouted overnight...I just don't want to wait until they are huge..my numbers will get messed up..yet I don't want them to stop good veg growth just to sex them...a conundrum..
What do u mean fucked up growth?
Ohh that leaf twist thing that shows a plants been revegged? Does it happen to just an occasional leaf or the whole plant?
I can't send out my bucket brain till morning, and not sure when it'll get here (new one) so I'm not sure, I have small rockwool starters, but have seen some bad pics of seedlings in them, not sure if I want to use them, have 20 ready and conditioned, but I hate to waste seeds if they don't do well in the rockwool..I guess the small plugs can go straight away into hydroton, without putting them in the 4" ones..not sure which way to go.. the last seedlings did great in plain perlite to germinate, but I'm out, used the rest of the bag mixing up soil for the 7 dwarfs..lol..do ya think they look a bit healthier now, aside of those 2 ice in the big pots..I had to raise the light this am, so they are growing, just slowlyyyy, the ice are getting some twisted foliage, too...not sure I'll let them continue much longer, maybe give them a week and see..

well if it's just an old spot it doesn't concern me so much, but if it spreads, or had new one or diff ones, yes, I want to find out why lol..
I haven't given them anything but water and a few drops of superthrive for transplanting..I have a couple drops in my spray bottle and try to spray em a few times a day..only once with the superthrive, other times plain PH'd h2o

There should be enough N in the new soil that that wouldn't be why the 2 ice plants lower leafs have turned yellow since transplanting?

from seed? they will show sex( pre-flower) @ 4-6 weeks veg.
you can put them into flower, but if they are not mature can take a couple weeks to see ,and then you have to revert them back and that takes time( couple weeks), so that they can recover before throwing them into flower again.

That's why it's good to grow a mother plant( one that is Mature and has shown her sex) and only take cuttings from her, insuring an all female garden.

So when looking for qualities in a mum plant, you want the most vigorous, most branchy one? That is the plan, eventually, once I see if I like the smoke etc..see how they grow and all..
Give me an opinion on something?
I may have messed up the tags on the plants, I THOUGHT one of the bubbles didn't pop, but the 5 on that 1 saucer all look exactly the same, leaf width, growth, etc, so I have 1 marked as an ice plant, they r supposed to have thinner more sativa dom. leaves..

yes that is the traits you are looking for, for a mother plant. kinda like a perpetual garden, this is what i do....just as you put them into flower take a couple cuttings from each, properly labeled of course, then when the ones in flower are finished, you will know which ones you want to keep, cuz you will have smoked them. the others will be ready for flowering at this time and only flower the ones that gave you great smoke. only take cutting from that one plant or two...and its a perpetual garden, yes it does take time, but that's what its all about, finding the best and keeping that one plant/strain going, and going , and going. ;)

yah when they are smaller can be harder to tell, but once it gets bigger you should be able to see which is the sativa dom. when younger they can all look the same.
