can't ya tell that amber glare? I finally got the hps out of the box.., yes both are hooked up now, eikes..
so now before their bedtime I need to throw up a section of panda film to sep the 2 halfs of the room..have to have that uninterrupted dark for 12 hrs.
I know they are pretty small, but I have seen people budding twigs, imo..I wanted them a foot and a half at least, and bushy..will try that this next batch I have coming, maybe even 2 ft depending on how much the stretch in flowering...getting excited to start seeing flowers form, this is the part I have most looked forward to, yet most feared LOL.
The plants arent looking great to me..but I'm sure they will give a little something, hopefully make it worth it.
That is all I can hope for, take what I have learned, next time will be better, and the one after, even better...and if it gets to the point the power bills etc/amount I harvest doesn't cut even or even get ahead, it may be worth looking into a caregiver who can grow my 15 for me, at least until my health is better and can handle this a bit more...
If that ends up the outcome, I'll try again, after my surgeries and I am healed and doing better..and I will keep trying
In the meantime I will keep reading my books, and googling articles and soaking in everything I can..and trying to raise this next batch up on a more normal schedule, even printed out some records to fill in all the pertinent info on for each feed, I got this program called "grow assistant" you keep your records in and it maps out your exact costs, I like it! I forgot I bought it before I ever had a plant, just started entering plant info into it..keeps track of clones, all the strains, diff feeding schedules you may find you need for diff strains you enter all that data....when I water, keeps measurements/pics of each plant, it breaks down what each res change costs in nutes, pretty awesome.
So just inputing data in that thing from my book of notes may take a few days, lol..as I can't sit very long at one time.
I like orderly, and that will certainly keep me on a good schedule, it pops up reminders, say to start flushing, things like that based on how many flowering days you enter.
It should help me a lot, then I wont have post it notes all over the calendar in there lol.
So out of those 20 seeds I planted last week or so..I have 1 big bud that is looking good, hope it's a she! Theres another but it got nute burnt from the soil too like the rest, they just fizzled out and quit growing, probably toasted the roots..but I have actually 11 germing, and the 5 of them are up since yesterday, the other 6 I just put in rockwool after reading that soaking good seeds in water could mess them up...see..always different info depending on source, lol..oh it also said NOT to use a dome on seedlings, only for clones..I thought ya domed them until 2 sets of leafs, my bad..another pricey lesson learned.
But it did say that old seeds that have hardened and dried out embryos it can help with, and I am pretty certain these aren't the best seeds, even nirvanas seeds LOOK nicer, healthier, mottled brownish striations on them..a LOT of these are small and solid brown, and strangely enough, you know most get a pretty straight taproot, maybe little curves, but these the root almost twists around the seed, sure hope they do ok!
Happy it's almost TGIF!
and happy growing!!
