2lbs in 4x4

So my second run, im hoping for 2lbs minimum. I got 560g in total off 3 in 5 gal pots my last run. I got 14 clones a 4 from seed either in 2 or 3 gal fabric pot. 12 in coco soil mix im treaing like soil with organic top dressing and teas. 5 are in coco DTW. I moved them in the tent after 7 weeks veg, they are now 11 days in to 12/12. Pistils showing and stretching little more than last time. I increased my power to leds to try and lessen stretching. But the goal is to get 2lbs, and being my second run and screen more full. Should easily get that. Everything except 1 plant is looking great. But that one, the new growth is as green as can be. I pulled one of the plants, unfortunately that is the only clone i have of a bag seed i absolutely love! She'll be a mama and breeding project. Been defoliating here and there. But will do a heavy defoliation and lolipop around 3 weeks or so. Any input or comments on your 4x4 grows would be greatly helpful. I acknowledge that there are a million ways to grow and im learning and trying them all till i know what i like. Just working on improving each grow.20220307_182719.jpg20220307_182355.jpg20220121_180305.jpg20220121_180226.jpg20220121_180240.jpg20211210_154656.jpg20211224_140955.jpg

Interesting that the far corner and near corner plants are tallest since they should be in the lowest light. Optical illusion or is that the way it is? How do the plants look in person compared to the others? I'm wondering if lower light just causes more stretch? Just curious.

Nice work man, the bud looks phenominal! I am super interested in how coco + organic works as I've been mixing coco into my compost pile outside

Im interested too lol. Mr. Canucks does coco with gaia green. Im using dr.earth, which has michorrizae, humic acids, and stuff. I water in recharge once a week. Im worried with the smaller pots. But it'll be a learning experience none the less.

The plants just getting into flower dont look healthy at all. I’d rectify that before counting your chickens

Yeah they struggled in 1 gals before i could transplant. All the new growth seems good and lower fan leaves stopped showing signs of potassium deficiency. Should be good to go!

They are slightly taller, honestly think they stretch more where light is lacking. But my canopy is only a few inches off from each other. I'll continue to tuck where i can and super cropp if needed. They are growing like crazy right now. An inch or 2 a day the past couple of days.

Mr. Canuck grows shit plants. And he doesn't use coco anymore he uses GG Living Soil.

I cringe anytime I see someone posting on here that they do coco with dry amendments cause I know they watched a few of his YT videos like he's some MJ guru. His plants are always burned to shit with watering issues.

Yeah you're not wrong with Cannuck, i realized after researching. But that's why i mixed soil with coco this run. To see if i can work with what i had. With recharge an dr.earth, there's plenty of beneficial microbes. Either im building my own soil with peat moss in the future in a raised bed. Or hopefully this mix of half 70/30 coco and the other half foxfarms will work. So far its working, i water every few days 6.5-6.8 like soil. Until i get a drip system or flood table. Coco doesn't apeal to me. Watering every day multiple times isn't for me. DWC is interesting aswell. But like i said, this is only my second run. I'll see as flower continues if the coco soil mix will lock up or something. Ultimately there are a million ways to skin a cat though..

Oh yeah i threw in some worm castings an a small amount of compost. The goal is any leftover soil after a run, will go to my vegetable garden and outdoor runs.

My first grow i used a mix of charged bagged coco soil. It carried me to about the first quarter of flower then it was tricky as a new grower knowing when and how much to fertilize as it was running out.

I ended up completly switching to drain to waste hydro and havent looked back. Can be done with coco.

Yeah im waiting to see, i just topped dress some flower amendments. Dr.Earth recommends every 3 weeks. So I'll keep it at that. Make a tea the moment i see any deficiencies pop up. I'm looking into hydro next, i have most of the dyna gro line. Apparently it's great for hydro.

What’s the min size space required to do drain to waiste
Its pretty much the same, unless you want to setup drain trays and stuff. I just raise my pots an inch off the tent floor and mop up the waterings.

As far as pot size usually you can use smaller pot sizes than vs soil.

So far deficiencies cleared up, removed a single banana kush male. 17 days in growth is great. Will collect pollen off that male to chuck at a few nugs. Started new seedlings to go along with clones for next batch. Full 4x8 next grow. 20220313_195235.jpg20220313_195020.jpg20220313_181407.jpg20220313_181237.jpg20220312_125243.jpg20220312_130424.jpg

Damn male opened up like 5 pods of pollen at not even 3 weeks. Hopefully it wasn't enough to ruin the whole grow. Only time will tell. Im being optimistic. Regardless looked like a healthy male with shot nodes. Stem smelled amazing and growth was fast an a stout plant.
