2ft tall in dwc???

I let a afghan kush get 9 inc tall topped and trained to grow wide. I flipped the lights at 5 weeks and have had to cut her back to 2 ft after the stretch. I veg too long I guess. Any advice on keeping a plant in DWC 2 ft or less? Strains, techniques.

Best tip is a foliar feed before your buds have formed normally. It breaks the apical dominance and promotes lateral growth instead. I went a bit ballistic on my current grow keeping them stocky...Probably too far. But I used, Scrog, LST, HST, supercropping, getting the lights as close as I can etc to keep them short. My plants are currently 30cm shorter than they were from my second grow.

Same time last grow. Basically my current grow only reaches to the third scrog but not above it.

This is what is looks like when you break the apical dominance of the plant. Really short inter nodes and well stacked colas.

Some of my branches did that but have some that are spindly and stretched. The plants so thick that I have cut some out. Is that normal?

Sorry for the poor shot but I had a CO2 bag fall on my canopy in week 2 and it snapped a leading stem. It bounced back really well as you can see the branches below took its place. So it's not the end of the world.

I actually almost considered topping in flower too but it should only be down in extreme cases...at least you got to it early enough.

If you've topped her it will guarantee stunt the growth for a little while at least. You should be right now

Its cool to see other people doing some larger plants ..Heres my RQS Critical ..I vegged her for 6 months and have topped LST,d and scrogged her... Harvest later this week !!

Thay last photo looks like you could build a treehouse in there based on the perspective. That thing is stout and large. Long time for veg, much patience.
