2700k tricks plant to flower no matter the light cycle?

So my plant is on an 18\6 light schedule but is growing hairs and hairs. So I was just wondering if the red(warm spectrum) could confuse the plant to flower. Even though it doesn't get the sense that winter is near?.

I dont think so, but how old are the plants, and are they from seed or clone? Is it budding or just showing its sex?

Edit: And are you using a timer or manually flipping lights? One more and: Are they autoflowers? :eyesmoke:

Hmmm...its just showing its sex right now. I would tend to think either you had some major light malfunctions or its got some auto in it. Even with 12/12 from regular seed, 3 weeks is pretty early to be at that point. Looks good though.

If its not auto, switch to 20/4 or more and you may be able to veg on out to your liking.

Yes, you can pick up good timers at either place. Save some headache and don't get the cheapest one. A good digital one with dual three-prong plug-ins should run you around 12-16 bucks. It will be some of the best money you spent compared to manually flipping.

I just took that picture right before I posted it. And no it popped out of soil on january the 21st. And yes I am running cfls. :) diy grow box. In my closet. With one fan. In a 5 liter clear pot. Ill go pick up a timer tomorrow ill get a good one. I don't want one that'll ruin my grow. And malfunction all the time.

Oh and I'm using schultz 20\30\20 at 1\4th tablespoon per gallon. She was really pale. Fed her once and she's darkening up really good and looking much more healthy. And how can I tell if its auto will it just start forming more and more hairs?

Yeh. Autos do what it says on tin...no need to manually flower it. Although you will still have to work with the plant with light hours and so on.

Ive not worked with autos before so im not an expert on these but i didnt think showed this early..

You using any 6500k light at all or is it all 2700k?

I had the same thing mate, they're just pre-flowers. The plants saying that it's ready for flower, instead of being 'forced' into flower. Although both of my plants (different strains), planted 1 week apart showed pistils on the same day lol About 4th week of veg.

Depends on the Auto Flower but the faster ones are starting to form actual flowers by the third week. My friend use's them and they finish from seed in 2 months' pretty awesome.

That's a very thick main stem for 3 weeks.

I had a similar issue with premie sexing when I used hydroponic-research VEG+BLOOM at > 450ppm. As soon as I backed off to 400 the pistils stopped and normal veg returned

Man that's 3 weeks? Wow! Usually you don't see preflowers like that until week 4-5! As far as switching to red spectrum to induce flowering, it would not work.

So. The question is to flower it or what can I do to veg it more? Its only about 6 inches tall. And the main stem is very thick for 6 weeks ? Is that good or bad. This is my first grow. I'm just confused is it an auto or not? I am only using the red spectrum no cool cfls.
