I gave DE CMH lighting (3000k) a run next to my DE HPS. The flower was fluffier and not as dense as the HPS nugs. Resin production was excellent with the CMH but I wasn't impressed with the yields. Quality LED lighting really impressed me with density, running a 3500k COB setup really produced beautiful nugs that were denser than the same cut flowered under HPS.
If it was my grow I would likely stick with HPS for flowering. If money was no object then I would hang some HLG 650r lights but they aren't cheap. Gavita LED would be my next choice. Really though you end up spending 3x as much on lighting when you go with LED and output diminishing over time is a big concern, I have heard figures of 20%+ reduction in 3 years due to the surface of the LED reacting with compounds in the air. The real energy savings with LED come from your air conditioner, it is fighting about 35% less wattage and you don't want to set the temperature as low as with HPS due to the lack of IR.
Call me a dinosaur but if it aint broke, don't fix it. HPS is still my go to lighting for commercial production.
