Hello all and happy holiday season. My name is BquamB, and here is my CFL grow and breakdown.
To start off, this is my 3rd grow and so far, the most successful. Previously I had grown with CFL's but was not at all successful with yields or caring for plants in general.
I started this grow in September after moving houses. I have encountered a few problems along the way- the worst of them was an improper Ph balance with my runoffs. I am using ProMix as soil with nothing else added. My Fertilizer series i use is the 3 part from GH, they have been very good to me and the product shows how well it works. At least.... this is what I am finding =)
I should state that this grow is total BUDGET with minimal spending (Maybe a 300$ investment over the past 2 years). I hope to acquire a few new lights after the new years. I would like either some side lighting 4' long t5 bulbs or get a proper shade and 200W -15200 Lumen bulb for both veg and Flower (2700k & 6500k).
Information:
Seeds: Bag.
-1 Seed was fine looking, but the other was all oblong and misshaped- Planted as an Experiment.
Location: Bc, Canada - Where if it isn't raining... It will.
Lighting: CFLs of all sorts of makes
Veg: (6 Week Veg from seed)
-2x 45w /200W, 4100K, 3000L/ea CFL
-2x 29w /125W, 6500K, 1900L/ea CFL
Total L: 9,800 Lumen
Flower: (currently in 6th week)
-3x 23w /100W, 2700K, 1600L/ea CFL
-3x 32w /150W, 2700K, 2200L/ea CFL
-1x 13w /75W, 2700K, 900L/ea CFL
-1x 45w /200W, 4100K, 3000L/ea CFL
-1x 29w /125W, 2700K, 1900L/ea CFL
Total L: 17,200 Lumen
Total Watt used for my flower stage is only 252Watt, but wait till you see the pictures!
(I really wish that I had an idea of the strains of these two Indica babies as they are so Short but Dense!)
Fertilizer Chart:
-Using the Flora Series by GH/ General Hydroponics - Drain to waste program, currently on 6th week of flower.
Pots:
-started in 4" squares, housed for 3 weeks from seed.
-moved to 1Gal tall for 3 weeks still in Veg.
-both are now sitting in 3Gal T pots and will stay till harvest.
Tent:
-3' W, 2' D, 5' T Mylar Tent from amazon, with shipping, duties/ levies was 72$.
Conditions:
Conditions started off rocky while in Veg stage. I had an issue of my run off Ph sitting at 3.5-4.5. I found that I needed to raise it up ASAP, so I found some Dolomite Lime. SAVES YO ASS! within 1 week they were showing major improvement. I started off with 4 plants, 2 have since been cut as they turned male, but i have learned so much by this grow for next. I'll stop blabbing, I'm too stoned.
CONDITIONS:
Heat:
--Veg: 27-32 C, 45% Humidity
I know the humidity is right, but my heat was fairly high. They did not seem to mind at all, and nothing i could do about it. September was DRY and HOT here in my town. They lived and had no curling so I let them be, sometimes the best option.
1 week as 24/7 Lighting while sprouting, changed to 18/6 for the rest of Veg/ about 5 weeks.
--Flower: 19C Night & 30C Day, 25% when dry and curing & 85% just after watering (Usually at night or 2Hr before lights out)
I have had almost zero troubles since adding the Dol Lime. I have no complaints with the Nutes and Soil, both of which have been perfect.
Watering:
I usually water 3x with fertilizers (1 Full Gal Mix for 3 gal of soil) and then on the 4th, I will flush with about 3Gal of water. let drip and then place back in tent/ about 1hr later but has natural light in the sink while it is fed.
These 2 bitches have been so fun to watch. The one I call "Retard" has always been quirky. The leaves when it germinated were short on the sides and scrunched. They were never symmetrical and I was stoked to see what would happen if it were to be given the chance to live. Now it has many sets of 10 leaves, some with 8 and i believe one with 12. just so weird!
I will upload as many pictures as I can later. I am sorry that they are not Chronological but I will do my best.
For now, latest flower pictures. Placed mostly at random, but first picture will be most recent as of yesterday.
