I've heard a month max, but I probably wont need the full month. Im not trying to rush it though, I've waited this long, might as well do everything right the first time. lol :blsmoke:

Im going to dry them in a dark box til the stems bend(a few cracking noises) but dont break, then put them in jars and burp them on a 12-3 hour cycle til the stems are easily snapped. Does that sound about right? :wall:

Is there a way to put the ballast right outside of your box? Might be a stupid question, just thought id ask..
The idea is to have the light as close to the top of the canopy as possible, while maintaining a steady temperature in the box. If i were you, id just get a bigger box tbh. With an HPS in a confined space, youre going to need a box big enough for your plants, lights and cooling system(fans etc.)

Note: I have a 250w HPS & 5 CFLs in a closet right now, and heat is constantly an issue, even with 3 fans in the growspace. :wall:

yeah i totally understand that. Heat is a horrible issue with me trying to keep it under 84 with just t5's in a small box, but what I was asking you if your ballast is not attatched to your light fixture, so the heat from that could stay outside of the box? Im not really sure what your dimensions are or if you could even do that, but yeah man just wondering.

Haha sorry i read that wrong, I thought you were talking about.... nvm. Yeah, if the cord from the fixture to the ballast is long enough, i dont see why not. I dont think I'd be able to do that, but im sure someone with a smaller space would be able to with no issue.
Good idea:clap:

thats exactly what i did...i had to cut the cord at the base of lamp but the ballast on the outside of the tent, hang the light and rewire it while it was hanging in place....not sure how much helped because i did that when setting up the tent but i know it helped a lot...i have a 400watter and that ballast gets hot as fuck....the cord isnt too long the ballast is on a shelf i put up that about the same height as the lamp

buds are lookin great by the way
