250w HPS/MH vs. 300W LED

Hi everyone, I recently started a grow with two plants inside my bedroom closet and have been using CFL's but I want to get some better equipment and am stuck choosing between this 250W HPS/MH Grow light kit: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Hydroponic-250W-HPS-MH-Magnetic-Ballast-Aluminum-Reflector-Grow-Light-Kit-/131343919785?pt=AU_Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item1e94b52aa9

and this 300W Marshydro LED: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MarsHydro-300W-LED-Grow-Light-IR-Veg-Flower-Hydroponic-Pro-Lighting-Lamp-Panel-/281202441128?pt=AU_Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item4178f8bba8

I want to know which one would be better in terms of producing a bigger yield/quality. Ventilation consists of a fan and aircon at the moment, would this be enough to keep the heat from the HPS/MH away?

Any other advice will be appreciated.

the heat is really your only concern because the mh..or even hps option is the way to go a 300w led will be cooler for sure and will get the job done but the hps/mh would do a better job-)....you can always add more fans...hope this helps...peace

Get the 250 setup bro you'll be able to upgrade your ballast later on and the 250 barely give off enough heat but you'll want to have good air circulation regardless. Also if LEDs break on your panel it means less light your plants get

The cool tube type reflector is a nice option for small spaces. I have a 2x2x5 tent and I think it helps keep the temperature lower.

I'm not trying to start a fight but I'd go with the LED option in this comparison.

However, having said that. I'd say why not look at 400w hps instead of 250 if you are looking to go with that option.

Also I'd check out oilmakers threads in the newbie section, he grows with that light so you can see it in action first hand.

I think you should also look at some different brands of LED such as area-51, onyx bloom, and apache tech (if you have money to burn). The first two options are a bit more expensive but worth it imo.

LED grows some really nice tight nugs, again in my.opinion

As said earlier, not trying to start an argument just giving a different perspective.
