250w heat

will a 250w hps light make my space of about 2x3x6ft hot enough t need extractor fans n carbon filters. im hopin not lol. i wil only have 2-3 plants in this space

It absolutely will. A 250 has a poor light to heat ratio. i use a 400 in a 2x4x5 and pull over 500cfm to keep it cool. Does your 250 have a remote ballast or allin one type. if its allin one its probably HOTTER than a remote ballsted 400.

I have a 250 in a 2x2x6 space inside a closet and the ambient temperature is almost 90 degrees WITH 150cfm of fan moving. If the closet door is open it goes down to around 80 degrees, but don't underestimate the amount of heat generated by a 250W

I have a 250 and yah it does put out heat but i had around 8 cfls and it does't feel much differant in there. I do have a fan in there with the cupboard doors open a crack. If you can do that you WILL be fine my grow cabinet is 3.5ftx3ftx2ft and the ballast is also connected. people just over exadurate about the 150's and 250's
