Hey. I have a diesel ryder growing under a 125 wat cfl. Yours look like they are right on track. You can use molasses on a seedling. I use 1-2 tbls per gallon. Its more for feeding the soil than the plant. The benefit comes from breeding the life in the soil that creates a symbiotic relationship with your plant. Also, the rule of thumb for light is, get the light as close as you can without burning. Use your hand as a temperature gauge. Cfls usually wont burn unless the plants actually touch them. i have mine at just over one inch. Also, having a small fan blowing across the light will disperse heat enough to put it very close.
