I read that uv light reduces potency, or increases, fuck i'm not sure anymore. I think it increases potency but decreases yield, yeah.

it will just have decreased yeild compared to MH HPS
what? i think you where trying to say the uv light will have less yield compared to mh/hps. im using the uv light as a supplement to the cfl's. i know i will have less buds because im growing under cfl's and they dont have the intensity as hid lighting.

A black light doesn't do anything. Typical black lights you use to make things light up and look cool gives off UVA, which is harmless to us, and useless to plants.

You want a bulb that gives off UVB, which is what gives you sunburns, and stimulates the production of THC in Cannabis. You can get a reptile bulb at Petsmart, Petco etc... and that will do the trick.

I got myself a 26 watt CFL reptile bulb from Petsmart for $18.

UVB light will not increase yield, but will increase potency.

the reptile bulbs are real good for flowering when that time comes...just dont get the "heat/daylight" reptile bulb or its gonna get WAAAAAY hot...i dont think that make 1 in a CFL

Skrypt man? What planet are you from?

2 OZ,s A Plant! They look good but not that good, this is still CFL here, not 400 watt HPS. You can achieve that kind of yield with CFL, but it's usually pretty advanced, involving topping, supercroppping, Mega Bonzi, or something to that effect. Or you grow a 4 foot tree and flower it with like 12 CFL's which would just be silly.

The plants seem to be recovering nicely from that nute burn, hopefully it was never that bad. I have done a few grows now, and currently have a one month old Shiva (indica/sativa) in flowering under about 200 watts of CFL including a Repti-glo 2.0. I don't know if UVA would be totally useless to pot, but the guy at the pet store told me repti-glo 2.0 gives off UVB and UBA so I'm covered either way. Your plants as far as I can tell have suffered no damage what so ever from the nute burn and look to be right on track to a promising yield. Did the nute burn happen during veg? because if you gave the plant time to recover before putting into flowering, there should be no loss of yield. If you got nute burn 2 weeks into flowering you almost certainly lost yield and potency.

Looks good, use a bit of molasses during last month of flowering, if you are not already doing that. peace

Never use a UVB 2.0 its a wast. You need at least 5%. I use three UVB 10 26 watt. That is 10% UVB. The molasses is a great idea that should help alot.

2 oz a plant?? what the hell dude? you cannot get that efficiently from cfls. i got the nute burn just prior to putting into flower so at the beginning.

Okay this has really confused me for a while now. I own reptiles and Repti-glo 1.0 and 2.0. Now I live in Canada so it might be different here, but I don't see why it would. My repti-glo 1.0 is only 13 watts, and my repti-glo 2.0 is the 26 watt one. Sounds like everyone on e here says the opposite???? So what the hell? I'm using two of the ones that are 26 watts.

So I should be using repti-glo 1.0 (13 watts), because it gives out more UVB? I assumed going for the one that is more watts?

Crazy, I'm finding pictures of 2.0 online in mainly 13 watts, (which I didn't even know existed). But check this link, this is the bulb I use which is also called repti-glo 2.0. But is 26 watts, and has lots of UVB. I'm pretty sure I'm using the right ones. Or does the 1,0 come in 26 watts as well. ARG, now i'M so confused. I know my bulbs can provide enough UVB for a 2 pound lizzard, so it should be sufficient for some cannabis plants.

Dang... Is it really possible to get a pound on one plant if grown outdoors? I'd like to see a pic of that.
