250 watt Cree Onyx Bloom.

I have one and its a solid little light. Not sure if that link is new and they upped the wattage but mine pulls 226 at the wall.
If you can keep your canopy even it will make some juicy nugs. My first grow with it suffered from untrained plants and a drastically uneven canopy. But the main cola of one plant that was 3" away from the light was killer in all aspects. The ones 24" away+ not so much.

Even though I've since built a cob setup, I think im going to pick up another little 30 x 17 x 36 veg tent and do a single plant
scrog in it with the Onyx. I still have it and I know it can grow some nice bud so why not.

The driver is 87.5% efficient so if the power draw is 250w then the output is 220w. I'm not sure how the XM-L2s are being driven. Looks like a series of parallel circuits? Makes it difficult to determine the efficacy but the Cree literature is stating 100 LPW at test current. It looks like they're driving them a bit under the test current so LPW output is actually better than 100 but how much better I'm not sure.

If it's pulling 226 from the wall then it's more like 200w output.

Replacing a 600 or 1000W HID is a pretty bold claim for 250 watts at any currently available efficacy.

Not actually the wattage, I will check when it ships. Thanks for the efficiency data looks like a solid unit.

I was just getting re read on your threads @captianmorgan my tent sucks in to a 2.5sq. I might be right there. Lens sans-lens preference?
@v-g-i that's the rub, I like to have a 2 gal bonsai with 2 to 4 zips, I'm thinking one giant long veg plant in a 5 gal in the 3x3

And their off, this light is much stronger than the kind l6,on my light o meter app. I'd pull 45-60k lux. Meaningless value for horse power but a consistent measurement none the less. The onyx bloom at the same canopy hight starts at 125,000 lux. I like the quality of the light, cree, meanwell, good guts. Great patern on a 2.5x2.5ish at 24 inches for 2 small plants or a big mama by herself.

ANY BODY HAVE TIPS OR EXPERIENCE WITH THE STRETCHING OF 2700K VERSUS BLURPULE.

Just ordered one more, definitely a beter lamp. Seems to light a 2.5x3 very strongly. Might stretch it out to 3x3max but negative pressure sucks it in to 2.5x2.5ish. The lemon og I moved out was put under a California lightworks 200 bloom booster and is coming down maybe tomorrow looking sweet, VERY SKUNKY :D:D

I am going to order another light I have $500 to spend, and I'm not interested in building one at this time. I'm down to two RW 75 or another onyx bloom, both Cree. OPINIONS PLEASE.
