thanks
just before i bought this 250 watt cfl i bought a 400 watt hps btu didnt pay for it yet.
i noticed that it is around 11$ to run every month, so i didnt pay for it.
and for cfl its around 3$ to run every month, so i paid for that1.
i always thought cfl was better, but i guess not.

no, the 400w hps will put out around 50,000 lumens, and will penetrate the canopy much further than the 250w cfl, producing denser buds and more of them.
however, im not sure but i think a 250w cfl will put out about 27000 lumens, and you can also put it closer to the canopy. it wont be as good as the hps, but its cheaper and will still do a nice job. it is a 2700k right?

The CFL doesn't provide the most optimal spectrum for flowering, but it will do. The buds won't be as large or dense as running them under HPS.

HPS is worth the money, i feel, but CLF's work fine.

So what if I were to get Two different 250 watt cfls and run them together for a four plant grow. do you think that would be enough lumen? also what is the difference between 2700 4100 5000 and 6400k bulbs? Which one is best?

Hi I just purchased a 250 watt compact flourescent light.
This can be used for flowering right?
hey can someone please help me with this quick question. With a 250 watt cfl wat kind of socket would you plug it into or how do you get it running? would you have to get a fixture to hold tha right amount of watts?
