25 micron bubble bag sat for 2 days? burn it or toss it?

So, I tried using bubble bags (not name brand, just bubble hash ice bags) for the first time ever this last weekend. I cant say I was let down, but I cant say I was impressed.

Pulled about 2.1g total dreight weight of hash from what I thought would produce alot more. The first few bags had some gritty tiny pieces of leaves I just tossed out. The 73 micron and the 25 micron however had quite a bit of good looking hash.

The second time I tried to run, the water drained wayyy slower from all bags. The 25 micron bag was so slow I set it up to drip becasue I got tired of swishing around for an hour+. That bag sat there for about a day and a half, just dripping.

I got tired of looking at stangnat water so I ran the rest of the water in the 25 micron bag (2 cups maybe) through the 73 micron bag which grabbed a little, then dumped the rest.

On the original 25 micron bag there was a ton of residue on the screen, I say residue casue I dont know if its hash after the water is not cold and agitated and filtered. Anyway, I scrapped that, and have dried it, now im wondering.....Should I smoke this shit or what?

Had this been reg hash this would have been smoked all teh way up. but this had a very dark, almost greenish/blackish color as it was drying. Im not sure if thats casue its the "highest grade" ou of the smallest bag or casue I let it sit for 2 days...

The "hash" (or whatever it is) is all dried up now, so im wondering when I get home from work, can I blast off or not??

well if you dont want to smoke it but u know theres thc in there id sugest baking with it

The second run on that 25 micron bag can be a really slow process. I like to stretch that bag down
over the sides of the bucket it's sitting in this will help suck water through and make it easier to deal
with. Once the water is below where the screen meets the bag material I then begin to tap my fingers
along the edges of the bag as this helps to agitate the water enough to help it drain faster. It's definitely
still a 10 minute process but with some patience it can definitely be done.

Amen brotha! if you dont clean them after EACH run, your more than doubling your work. I prefer to clean with 90% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle, just misting the top sides of each screen and letting it drizzle down. I just did my first run with my new bubble bags and had great results, about 18 grams.

Of course the 25 is going to take a lot longer, it's a 25 micron screen.
I helpped it along by squeezing th bag and redipping it in the bucket as I let it drain.
The dipping helps the resins fall to the bottom and opens the sides as it drains.

All done in less then 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. And that was filtering with my 4 smallest bags twice.

ive done a few batches now and in all honesty try doing the fullmelt once, if you like it great, personally it wasnt worth the return, i use the largest and smallest bags and end up with a nice chunk of great hash all microns mixed.

rrmcmaho, you dont need to let it drip just agitate the bag a bit the build up of trichs going through the screen is slowing the process down. jiggle the bag a bit and youll clear the thing in about 5 mins

Got to agree. The return just wasn't worth it. I feel that I can achieve the same level of highocity from the hash if I just smoke a few extra bowls. NOTHING turns you into a spaced out drool monkey like baking with your trim, small buds. For the full melt, I only got a few grams from a lot of trim (smoked in 3 days). When I turn the trim into cannabutter, I have edibles EASILY until the next harvest.

And yes, that greenish, blackish looking "hash" is nasty to smoke (i tried). Make a "firecracker" with it. Probably send you to the moon.

I had about 7 oz's of trimmings and got close to 19 grams, so I'm not sure why everyone seems to be getting such small amounts.

The strangest part is, I know I should have used more ice and should have stirred it loner and could have filters my cutting more then once and still got as much as I did.

Doesn't really matter to me much though, I got into making the hash because a patient asked if I would consider making some for him to go along with his other medications. I benefit greatly by being his caregiver and thought it would be easy enough to do.

I was right, 60 bucks for the 5 gall 8 bager and a few hours of my time.
And if thats what I'm getting off of 6 plant harvests, I can only imagine how much my 12 plant harvests are going to produce.

all depends on the quality of the sugar trim used, i never really bother to weigh the trim before i use it. im just happy with what comes out the end of previously waste material.

Exactly, it also depends on how pure you want your end product. Darker = more contaminents....I was filtering down to get ONLY clear, unbroken heads. Virtually translucent.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Next time I make up some bubble hash, im going to clean my bags with ISO. If half the holes it has to drain, are already stopped up with trich's im just "doubling my time" like someone said. Again, thanks for the advice gentlemen, (and or ladies). For thos who care ive got some genetics from this grow school in So cal called artistic organisms. If you can access that place I would suggest checking it out. Healthiest clones I have seen, and Ive been to a number of the so-called "best places in cali for clones". Obvs the best is from the best growers, but in such a quite and competitive community, it is very hard to get someone elses prized cuts, cause they dont want you to become a competitor.

Anyone ever tried "black domina" or "blueberry dream? supposed to be the indica pheno of the mix of blue dream and blueberry haze. Not really sure how that works since Blue dream is a H/S and Blueberry haze is a sativa? not sure how to get an indica pheno out of those mixes but, people who have tried this, swear by it. I ended up letting it hang then dumped it into another bag after a day or two (73 micron) caught what was left and set it aside....
