here is my setup

1 400w hps
t5 lighting on the side
fox farm ocean forest
humboldt nutrients (organic)
dont have a digital pH meter but I adjust the pH and check it with the liquid test always between 6-7 (yellow/green)

white rhino is 25 days 12/12 the thai s-skunk is about 55 days in.

last week I fed the first 1/2 strength dose of flowering nutrients (barely used any nutes during veg), this week my thai s-skunk has spots on the leaves and they eventually get really yellow and the stems weak and the leaves fall off. On the White Rhino Im growing there is brown spots as well though it is not as profound and there is no loss of leaves. 2 days ago the thai and one of the WR had about 1.5 gallons ran through them each (water). Im hoping this is just nutrient burn or a deficiency and not some awful bacteria/disease. I do have some gnats but they dont appear to be too numerous right now Im going to apply sand after I fix this current problem. Here are some pics. Thanks for any help

last few show the whole setup and a clone of a local strain.

* this is my first grow

for testing the soil I just have a cheap meter from lowes it has not given me a poor rating. I have never put any chemicals into the soil and I have adjust all the water and nutrients to about 6.5 with the liquid indicator test.

check your soil ph, soil tester kit 5$ at hydro store, flower fertilizers casue your water and soil to become more acidic(low ph). FF ocean forst is a "hot"soil so, it may be messing the soil up too.

hey man ikd ..... but looks sorta starved? but the appearance of the spots after nuting? just not sure. I 'm not sure what I'd do .... the only thing obvious is that nutes have not been part of the equation (except from soil) and might need to be in some meaningful way? Walk On!!~~

Your plants look pretty good. I don't think you have too much to worry about. You might want start giving nutes again. Go easy with them and just back off if they get worse. Do you feed with every watering?

With the new addition of nutes and not using nutes very much during veg. May be a ph shock issue causing the availible nutes to be locked out. Its tough to keep an even ph with the liquid test kits. Are you ph'ing your water before or after adding nutes? Organic nutes can really send the ph of the water way down after adding.

And I am guessing the Thai SS being much taller than other is getting pretty hot towards the top. I see you temp probe is way lower than the top of the SS. Even with a 400 every inch closer makes a very big difference.

yeah, the temp by the SS isnt as bad as you would think b/c is it more to the side of the light, actually feels cooler than where the temp probe is. I adjust the water to about 7 then add the nutes let them brew for 24 hours then adjust again. I barely ever feed and Im thinking the SS is starved, after all looking at pics ive taken the last week its buds have doubled in size. Im gonna bring in some nutes slowly to the SS. thanks for the quick responses!

You are probaly on the right path then. The SS being 55 days in is probaly going thru its last big growth spurt. I would say a feeding or two. After that let nature do its thing. I think you are going to be ok.
