There was a recent post by a RIU member linking to an article stating that you should gradually change your lights; 15 minutes a day (though that's crazy, the lowest I can tolerate is 1hr a day). The idea is to better replicate the changing hours of the sun. It makes perfect sense. Does the sun ever go dark for 24 hours?

hey Dertin...this was a good question, I hope you got enough info before the thread diverted into the toilet.I would like some opinions on if I should do 24/ hours of dark then 12/12... They been on 24/0 5 weeks.. or just go 12/12. Ty for any input on this
Personally, I don't veg 24/0 so I can't give you any feedback...but my gut feeling says it wouldn't make allot of difference if you switched to 12/12 or phased in with 18/6 first.
anyhow, hope you get a nice harvest...cheers

I have done several combinations over the years of dark periods and light reduction and I did find light reduction along with switching too bloom nutes and hps for the week before 12/12 to be quicker transition to flower but only by a few days. It want worth the effort
