24/7 PH/TDS/TEMP reader. Which one? I have these 4 im trying to decide on, pls hlp

Thanks for stoppin!! So i have two res; for 2 different rooms. I cant stand the damn Pen anymore lol I really wanna get one of these 24/7 meters that just hang out in the res. My only question is, which one?

I am a bit leary about not warranty on the first one but if I was strapped for cash its the one I would buy

Hey i started a thread a few days ago with a similar question. Bluelab seems to be the one of the better brands. I've personally used Hanna's "checkers" on my aquarium, while I have had a few problems with them they are a pretty solid brand. Additionally I would recommend if you go with one of those Knock off brands(like the one in the first link) i wouldn't buy it from eBay. Amazon sells them, I think for a couple of $'s more but at least if you have an issue you won't be forced to ship it back to china! Hope that helps you out.

Ya, normally a rule of thumb i use for my grow equipment is to NOT but the absolute cheapest thing due to knock off brands kind of just sucking in quality. Just figured i would ask if anyone has maybe been using them or not. I would like to ge tthat BlueLab one, its just so spendy. Im sure its worth it tho. The 3 i was really considering was the BlueLab, the Hanna, and the CWP. I like that the bluelab and the CWP show all three readings nice and big and separate from each other. So unless somene DOES stumble on this and says that those cheaper ones are SWEET, i think my choices are now between the bluelab and the CWP

Blue lab one is the daddie no complaints works as should!

Hey bro I'm with ya on that one, the bluelab one is so expensive it would take me a long time to get it to pay for itself in results. I haven't completely ruled out those no name brand meters. im sure you already realize this but, almost all of the meters out there need to be calibrated, or at least checked every so often, which is a common complaint about the no name ones.
I'm looking into the nutra dip models, I know they say that digital ballast interfere with them but I wanna research that a little more before I buy.

also look up blue lab combo metre as its they same only hasn't got the alarm an runs of batteries an i think they are £50 cheaper, only difference is you would have to press the on button when wanted to look at the reading

Ya, i dont really like all those unhappy comments and ratings. Not on a device so crucial. I need to look more at the description, does this bluelab one not need to be calibrated somehow? Im bout to look! I dunno i also look at it like this, i bought a Hanna combo pen for like 150 or 160. If i go and spend 90 bucks and find out it sucks ill be kicking myself in the ass for being an idiot thinking that something almost half the price of my pen was going to work better and be more convenient.

I dunno about this model, i like that it will stay on all the time with the one you plug in. Trying to achieve ultimate convenience EVENTUALLY lol

my luck, i have no damn replacement batteries whe they die and im sitting there at like midnight needing to take a reading lol...

so after reading other threads, reviews on the bluelab guardian it seems that no one really has anything bad to say about them. As to the next ones down that are about 175 in price, you have to manually calibrate with the screws on it and there were a few complaints with them stopping working and what not. The bluelad guardian's ppm doesnt need to be calibrated (i dont know if this worry's me..?) and from reviews its very accurate and reliable. I do like a two year warranty as well.

Just wanted to you let you guys know that have been helping me out with the decision. Im going with a BlueLab!

BlueLab is where it's at!

I purchased the first one and own one very similar to the last one. If you are going for price I'd get the last. It has the calibration for the 4pH and 7pH. The first one doesn't. You screw set it twice with the same screw.

Both are semi prone to wack readings if they are close to florecents or high electrical interference. I calibrated both and they seems to keep accurate measurements.

Although the bluelab does have a calibration button... Which does mean less likely to be screwed up over time.

Hint: if using set screws do not over turn them... Or you will screw the meter.


Over all so far (2months) id purchase either or again... But likely the last one you listed first.

Bluelab is quality gear for sure. I really like that meter (second link in the OP), kind of wish I had just bought that instead of buying the separate ec and ph meters :-/
