24/0 vs 18/6 once again

Been reading alot about it and still no conclusion. some say 24 0 and some say 18 6

I understand that plants grow during light hours and are using the stored energy during dark so it would make sense if its always light itll continue to grow.

But then theres that plants need rest and its like going to the gym non stop.

Anybody know which is better?

absolutely 18/6, plants need to take a break. and they grow while dark too.
having lights on 24 hours just doesnt seem real good for a plant.

24/0 works great for me. I occasionally might manually turn the lights off for an hour or two in the evening, if it's really hot or something in that vein. Zero problems.

I have my plant under 24 hour light right now...Will i hurt it if I drop it down to 18/6??

ive always done 24 0 no probs. however, if we all can remember from high school bio, plants are supposed to benefit from the dark, plus you can save power. sorry, guess that was useless as to giving you any conclusion.

no, changing to 18 6 wont hurt them

I use 18/6, but I am growing in dirt. If I were growing in a hydro setup I would be using 24/0. That's just me though
