24/0 or 20/4 for seedlings?

Only thing I'm doing different is using coco rather than usual John Innes soil, I have been told to add some of my bio-bizz grow as coco has no nutes in it. They are getting to the first 2 leaves then staying like that. Never had a problem with the cheap stuff.

I have always had a problem with running 24/0.
While Cannabis does not need a lights out period to grow in veg. You all need to realize that it's a short day - long night C3 plant!
The plant actually USES the lights out period to "change and heal" things that happen to it in the lights on time! These things are happening on the cellular level! It's been said that the roots benefit and grow better with lights out times.....More and bigger roots = more and bigger buds down the road...

20/4 to start - clones too.
As soon as they go into Solo cups....18/6

You got any pics of the dead ones whilst they were dying. Also i use biobizz, i like it.

Same, I swear by the bio-bizz grow, topmax and Bloom. In normal actual £1 shop soil in the big rhino buckets. I get 6 Oz of solid bud, then the smaller bits, so what's the..COCO lol. But I actually got gave some branches after a harvest to take cuttings too. And to prove how strong a weed plant is, it took hrs in Freezing conditions to get home, they were floppy n no use, well I tried planting two cuttings that looked like green spaghetti and guess what!!! Roots are pouring out of bottom of 4" pots so if I can work miracles with cuttings why won't my seedlings behave. Ph is 5.8 _ 6.2, among the plants n temp is 80'f or a degree under. I have no pics but one looked kill it had died in middle then folded but now the 2 leaves that Come out are just turning up n refusing to grow. I'm hoping their just concentrating on establishing a good root Base first. No pics M8, I'll take some later and put them on, just ain't a good idea to have those pics in my fone, specially when the plod give iz a tug m search on the street know.

I started in solo pots to save stress about reporting seedling, but yeah av heard that about the foots that's why I use big 50Ltr rhino bucket and I can guarantee 6 Oz before flowering in those fucker. I'm just stumped, I have put some plants, cutting n seed through some abuse over th yrs while learning yet they always pulled through, now I use all the expensive fancy shit and have nothing but problems.

That's really strange, isnt it usually the clones that have bad success rates lol. I'm guessing the seeds you tried were good ones too, although i dont think it makes too much of a difference. Yep im gonna get some big 1l bottles of biobizz for my next grow for sure. Shit i didn't think of that with pics on phone, mine has about 1gb of weed pics haha, should probs delete them :)

From what I understand 20L/4d seems to have very good results for auto-strains. 18L/6d is best for vegging with the intentions of budding the plant. 24L/0d is best for a mom...a plant which may never get budded. I use 24L/0d in the cloning bin because the bin is in with the moms. And let's not forget that these lighting schedules use different frequencies of light:)

I reality, it still doesn't matter what your running under 24/0....
It's stressing the plant more then you think...
I FEEL I get better, healthier clones faster with 20/4.....That's my observation.
Better down the road results.
Vigor, yield and quality at finish.

I realise you may have solved the issue by now, however...
A vegging plant does not need dark time, so 24/7 lights on would be the ultimate scenario with HEAVY lights and fans you should be done vegging MOST strains is ~4weeks.
However if power consumption is an issue for you, or anybody else reading then perhaps 20/4 or even if its more of an issue 18/6.
The only time a plant needs dark time is when it is flowering, anytime after that and your wasting precious hours my friend!
That being said, if you don't have your hot spots sorted or sufficient air-flow and or extractor and intake fans then HEAVY lights on could severely hinder the growth of your babies.

12/12 light period from seed is never really worth it, even if your doing a micro grow or SOG style grow some people still try 12/12 from seed HOWEVER.
A plant can-not reach it's bloom period until it is around 3 weeks old, Your best bet even then is to smash 3 weeks veg with 24 hr lights then flip when your comfortable.
But you didn't mention anything about SOG so I guess this is a pointless post :P

Should be OK if you're sensible unlike me and don't get yourself known to them (plod). Though I do know a straight up guy I met in jail who had done fuckaw wrong accept report getting mugged and when they tracked his fone down, they broke his door down, so it's always worth stopping to think, I'd rather have lost a £500 fone than my house, 50 plants and 2yr of my life. That's what happens I suppose when you want to trust the police while trying to pull a stroke. Needless to say I think he's learned his lesson lol.

Ive tried 24-0, 20_4, and 18_6. Its true you can get great plants with the 18 and 20 hours. You can also save some money on electricity and give ladies a small rest. But from my experience 24_0 gives me bigger and stronger plants. I see about a 33 percent bigger plant and yield when using the 24 hour veg. But thats just me.

To put it briefly - The plant hits a point before mid-day where it begins to change on the cellular peptide level...This change is to protect it's self from the light..Photosynthesis declines on a bell curve. So does all growth right along with it. The use of Co2 will slow the plants need to do this change by about 30%.....THIS is why Co2 use will increase plant growth. It ALLOWS the plant to work at full strength longer before the cellular change to protect!....At night, the plant reverse's the daytime change so it can again, grow and use the full strength of the light again in the mourning...

I'm sorry but, I have tried 24/0 and in no way did I ever get any better results!

This is scientific, Botany and Horticultural fact.....

I agree with the Doctor. 24/0 is stressful on them. You will see that you have HEALTHIER plants if you give them a small break from the light. I run 19/5 but I'm a cheapskate when it comes to power consumption...otherwise I would do 20/4.

I would nuke the phone from afar using fancy apps if it were me, gna delete all that bud porn for sure tho. Plus ima good boy, i have 6 plants right now and intend never to go over 10 so i should be ok if worst comes to worst... hopefully.

I have enjoyed that the smart people have destroyed everyone who thinks 24/0 is a good idea. I'll probs get flamed for this, but i dont care, it's clear that 24/0 is a bad idea, plants need time to relax.
