I give my mature plants 1/2 gallon a day....sure there's some run-off, but the next day the pots feel light again so I know they're drinking everything I give 'em. Some strains are more thirsty than others too.

Yo bro listen, if u water your plant 3 to 4 times a day, its definitely gonna die! Your drowning the roots, you need to let them get air, I water my plants once a week or every five days in the summer. And 18/6 works better for me. 24/0 put to much stress on them..just my opinion
He's growing hydro, so depending on his system, 3-4 a day is normal.

fwiw, regarding 24/0 or 18/6, I keep my moms very, very short and bushy. About a week before I want another clone cutting session, I flip from 24/0 to 18/6 as I find the mom will stretch a bit, giving me more clone options, then I switch it back to 24/0.

Better or worse, personal preference imho.

What does this even mean? I don't want to grow vines, I want strong bushes with lots of leaves.
It means that if your moms go woody you may as well put them into bud(they're f*cked). You probably don't know what that means either eh?

I give my lava rock/hydroton tables a 15 minute start to finish flood and drain every 8 hours. One cycle is center in the dark period. The mix is 1/6 per gallon as recommended for dirt.

I drip feed my moms which is set by a timer. I go 1 gallon twice daily when using the HID 18L/6d combined with the daylight tubes twenty-four hours. When things slow down, not using the HID but leaving tubes on and keeping the temp between 66-70F I can get away with one gallon every three days. I keep my moms in rock also.
