220w qb and auto flowers

Never tried autos before so I was wondering what would be a good number to start with the space and light I have to work with. Gonna be ordering a 4x4 tent kit from igtfarms that comes with their 220w quantum board led (which I know isn’t ideal for a 4x4 but it’s in my budget) I know autos aren’t gonna get to be the size of the photo periods I’m used to so typically I’d assume I could fit more but I don’t want to start too many and run out of room either. Any and all information is appreciated. Again, I’m new to autos so any tips on that would be useful as well as any breeder suggestions as well. Leaning towards fast buds or dinafem but I have no experience with either breeder so I’m open to suggestions

i understand it wouldn’t be enough if I had plans of maxing out the tent but that’s why I’m curious as to how many autos it would be powerful enough for

It really really depends on the strain.
My experience with autos is somewhat limited, but the last NL auto I grew was a monster; as big as any photo I've grown over the years. It was grown in a 2.3'x2.3' tent with a 150w qb, took ~90 days start to finish.
On the other hand, there's the "fast" auto varieties which are much smaller but finish quicker.

I just took a quick glance at their site, but that light seems pretty overpriced at $400 for 220 watts.

I'm no expert on anything, just my two cents that you should at least shop around a little instead of buying into a complete kit. At least the light aspect as you can for sure get better quality/coverage for the same price.

Just placed my order an hour or so ago and actually didn’t go with the kit. Shopped around on eBay for everything individually and found a 450w Qb for a little over $300. Hopefully it does the job for the 4x4

Nice, good luck with everything. Out of curiosity though, which light did you go with?
