Hey everyone,
This is my first grow room, my first grow in general. I'm a MMJ patient and couldn't be happier to find a way to medicate. I suffer from Chrohns and its the best way to medicate. Anyways on to the good stuff......I have one 1000 watt ushio opti red running on a quantum digi ballast inside a magnum xxxl hood, and two 600 watt ushio's on a dual 600 watt lumatek ballast (both inside hydrofarm xtrasun hoods). I'm using a can 75 filter with a 6inch vortex inline fan to scrub the room and cool my hoods. The grow room is 5 x 10 ft with all plants in 5 gal buckets= 6 white russian clones, and 3 orange kush clones, one northern lights and one mystery plant grown from seed (was in the same packet as my silver haze auto but didn't bud until I introduced the photoperiod strange). Thanks for any input or views :eyesmoke:

wow, really appreciate it everyone, I just joined unfortunately so i had to put it up lol.... but i do have a new set in veg, white widow, f 13, and super silver autos that i will keep a journal of....As for my first time i did months of research and got clones from a veteran who def let me know the mistakes they had made to help me out....

dont be hateing on sixburgh!!!!!! to put down the team with more super bowls then any other team in the league, isint saying much at all for which ever team you happin to think is a "overall" better team...not from last years performances, or the year befor that, im talking about since the nfl started. its been only the steelers who have walked away as the only team thus far with 6 rings.....lets hear your best argument againg the steelers without making douch ass remarkes, like, the QB is a rapest...i mean an actually argumeant about how your team is better... it isint possible

so you want me to learn how to spell so i can chear for......who........atlanta thrashers???? who the hell are the thrashers........oh and yes i cant spell for shit, thanks for pointing that out isaac newton, but trust me old timer, my spelling abillities has nothing to do with how bad pittsburgh destroys other teams, so just try sounding all that out next time your team is playing the steelers!!!!...........

and to jjlongo.....cowboy nation?????? only in texas, lol........last years cowboy team couldnt score a TD against my towns PeeWee football team

you always agree with the media..rich football start accused of rape.....sounds like an easy easy pay off for some poor gold digging tramp.....think about it...THE DUDE IS A RICH SUPER BOWL WINNING ALL STAR....That guy could walk out his front door and scream.."are their any females that wanna have sex with me out here" and i promise you, you wouldnt be able to beat all the females off his lawn that would show up, this guy does not have to rape any body....also, every time the media airs a story like this, 90% of the people will right off the bat start calling him a raper, even when the media first came out with the story, even the media said "accused" not proven guilty, and almost every one i talked to that wasent a steelers fan, jump right on that band waggon "oh yeah, have you seen how that guy plays football, hes defently a raper, noone throws footballs that good and is not a rapest".....90% of the people were fully set on him being a raper only min's after the story aired, and all that was said was accused.........
but that ok i guess, the wold needs followers, not everybody can be a leader like rothlisburgher..so as long as you know your position in the line, which is somewhere back their..so go take your place in line and wait for your next marching order from the media, you should watch CNN, or FOX.....them people will help you with your breathing, its, in and out, in and out.....com'on man, use your own judgment, dont let other people (the media) tell you how to think...........

i also hope 7 rings are in our near future, but i agree, wishful thinking! last Super bowl was such a kick in the nuts, it was pretty painful...ben must have thought he was showing up to play basketball, cuz he sure wasent playing football that day...o well....that kind of lose wont shake a true fan, we will be back

I'm new to the thread though, so I'll start with the same thing the others have said: for a first grow, you've got yourself a killer garden. Well done man. I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

Getting back on topic....
With a 10 x 5 room you have more light than you can use. Jorge Castenada, the MJ guru, says in his book that
a single 1000W. light will cover a 8 x 8 room. That's 64 square feet versus the 50 square feet you have available.
But because of the shape of your room I would run the 2 600W. lights only, at least during the veg stage. If you can
comfortably eat the expense of an additional 1000W. light during flowering stage then go for it! It's during the final
flowering stage that the plants really need the extra wattage. You are wasting money using all your lights for vegging when they
need a fraction of the light.

@ LVTDY and del66666 Thanks alot and i will be posting an update of pics tonight day 41.......@ bigsteve, I appreciate the advice, however I use a quantum badboy 16 bulb unit for veg and i do almost exactly what your talking about. I started flowering with just the 2 600"s then introduced the 1000 watt week 4 and on. I've read once the flowers really get going in week 4 is when you want to aim for the most lumens per foot...with 2200 watts at about 15 inches, I'm getting about 7200 lumens per foot give or take...when a sunny summer day is supposedly 10000 give or take. But ill admit this, the flowers seemed to love that extra boost once the 1000 came into play..def density wise...as far as electricity goes I'll have to see considering I'm waiting on the bill since introducing the 1000 lol.
