2020 outdoor flowering question-reveging or just too damn cold and wet?? Also, how common is it for calyxes to eat pistils like this?

Hey folks! This is my first grow in a number of years and I’ve been reading this forum avidly since a couple weeks into flower. Have a few different strains going...death bubba (light green Indica in photos)seems to have performed the best And is super close to cutting but right at the end I’m running into questions I can’t find answers for. She’s growing buds a little too fat for the humidity levels we’re having in the maritimes this fall - just had to remove a little bit of rot from one of the 2 main colas and then harvested that cola that same night (last Sunday). I’m somewhere around the start of week 8 since moving them outside (they tripped to flower right away when I moved them). Trichs are pretty much 95% cloudy with some amber staring on the sugar leaves. Also fighting a few bugs on the DB just before the mold issues .... shame to start having issues just a week or so to the end. Gorilla bubba (obvious sativa influence and starting to purple) isn’t far behind and throwing some beautiful purples after a few cold nights. Also not having any issues with bugs or rot even though they are pretty damn close together in an impromptu greenhouse I put up to protect from direct rain. The reason for my my post is both the DB and GB are displaying a LOT of leaf growth and little in the way of further bud development. At this point I would have expected the death bubba to just fatten up and maybe make a few new pistils (that’s another question- how common is it for the calyxes to completely eat all the pistils?? Very few left on the plant as it matures) but the tops are adding new sugar leaves. Leads me to wonder.....
The Gorilla bubba seems to have lost some density and I’m worried they’re both reverting to veg, or is my issue more the high humidity and low temps? It’s been as cold as 1-3c a few nights but the humidity has been ridiculous this year. Most days in the 75-85% range, with the usual spike in the am. They have had some nighttime light from porch and interior light, but it’s been pretty consistent since the beginning of flower and hasn’t caused any problems before now. and not brighter on them than a full moon. So, am I reveging or is it just fluffy due to temp and humidity I guess is my main question. Another thing I’m noticing is a bit of a decrease in trichome quantity across all 3 outdoor plants (I didn’t include photos of the Lemon Walker which seems to be telling me it wants less N at this stage in the game-leaves look healthy colour wise but are sort of clawing down at the tips which I’m thinking might be caused my less direct sunlight as it’s shifted. Thanks for your time people and glad to join what seems like a pretty great group of folks.

Whole plant phot of gorilla bubba as well as a couple from last week to gauge the changes (could be in my head I guess). Also a couple of the Lemon Walker with the clawing. And the cola I very sadly felt the need to remove a little early to hopefully avoid Botrytis spread

my last reply to myself...the other thing I failed to mention was shifting sun as fall progresses. The ladies aren’t getting as much direct sun as they were a month ago. Could my fluff issue be as simple as that? Or one of my other 2 concerns? Thanks again people!!

First... congrats on your grow! Looks like you're doing a great job.

You wont reveg unless there is extra light being given.
When buds mature the pistils will die and recede back into the buds. This is one way to know it's in the window for harvest.
You check the trichomes from the calyx not the sugar leaves. The leaves mature much faster than the buds themselves...and you are smoking the buds not the leaves.

One of your plants looks ready...the other with white pistils has just a tad bit left.

Hey!! Thanks so much for the reply! Yeah, I was doubtful about the reveg thing since the light levels at night have remained fairly constant, the only change was the plastic covering that seemed to diffuse the light a bit more than just having them out in the yard.
and the first trich photo there is the calyx (still no amber a week later) and the second showing one or two amber is a sugar leaf. Through reading and observation I figured out the quicker maturation on the leaves-very useful bit of info so thanks for mentioning here.
I also knew about the calyxes swallowing the pistils as they mature, this just seemed a bit extreme....hardly a single pistil left on the whole plant.
I feel like the cold snap we had for a week there (I’m in Atlantic Canada)delayed them some and Maybe caused the gorilla bubba (showing purple in the photos to fluff back out a bit. I’ve read bud growth grinds to a halt pretty well below 10c, but haven’t verified that yet by other sources. The weather has warmed but we are still between 75-90% humidity so I’m keeping a close eye for any other signs of rot on the Death Bubba, hoping for a couple amber trichomes on the buds before cutting. Any opinions on the fluffyness of that purple one?

As Ganga girl said, everything is looking great. And I wouldn't worry about yard lights that much. My neighbors all have outdoor lights and I've never had an issue caused by them. The ones that aren't done yet will swell up more in the next few weeks. So don't sweat them being a little fluffy right now.
God job and good luck friend!

Thanks for the support and encouragement! I’m going to give her another day and take that other cola and a few lower branches and leave the rest until our next extended rain spell. We’ve had rapid warm up and the buds are definitely still growing. My big concern is humidity-it’s not been lower than the high 70s climbing into the 90s in the evenings and mornings. But at least the sun came back out for a couple days. I’m keeping a vigilant eye for any signs of mold problems after my first scare (which might’ve been caused by a small hole in my plastic cover, dripping onto that one spot on the biggest cola). Today photos...45494209-7E63-406B-95FB-317DEFF821E9.jpeg2B1D3C1A-77AE-4A4B-86FB-4362D61C200B.jpeg
Just starting to show some colour (this is a lower part of the bud, not the late stage new growth that had me worried about revegging)

This one, from a bag of Gorilla Bubba, however, seems way hardier and super bug/rot resistant 2E8D8BBF-A73F-4701-B779-5DE87C9E1BE9.jpeg

If she does fatten up some it should be just about as nice as the Death Bubba and so far seems to be weathering there weather okay. I do love this plant and it’s almost endless variations. I’m half tempted to try to clone one of the smaller branches it’s performed so well despite a difficult existence (I forgot them all when I started them with no light and they ended up like 10” long with just the one set of leaves).
Actual question....should I feed one more time in the next day or so and then start the flush? Have been totally organic - blood meal, worm castings, some sheep manure and a great local seaweed based compost in the soil to start, bone meal and pelitized hen manure (2 types) at flower mixed in as well. For liquid feeding I found some great liquid seaweed at crappy tire of all places (3-5-7 I think, will have to verify) along with some BIOCANNA Flores and some extra unsulphered blackstrap as well. Have done a couple quick teas with the hen poop and the compost too. Have a feeling it’s too much N at this point for some of them though...like this one 48320A84-3D78-4708-9E7F-1B45B1EC6FC1.jpeg
I’m not sure if the super dark leaves and this clawing are strain specific (this one came from a bag of Lemon Walker) or if I’m feeding too much. Have another inside doing the same thing. Did some reading ....clawing could a whole lot of different things, I guess even too much wind/direct fan action can cause it especially when combined with low humidity (which I definitely do NOT have).
Happy growing and medicating!

Another question for you fine folks!

they’re calling for 100% humidity for the next like 3 days..... would you folks go ahead and cut the rest of this? Starting to notice a bit of browning on the tips of some sugar leaves. Worried about a sudden mold explosion. As far as I can tell, all trichs have gone cloudy at this point.

cut now? Or keep pushing my luck? I’m amazed to have them still going at this point!
