POWDERY MILDEW AND HOW ROLL IT UP TAUGHT ME YET ANOTHER LESSON:
So i saw and ignored the little bit of PM I saw in little spots on one plant. Of course it got out of control and took off. So after researching a lot on the site, I wanted to go with the milk, but found some Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in the cupboard. Used two teaspoons per quart, might have sploshed a little extra in there, but I turned the spray bottle on mist, did a shot of Jim Beam, and went to town. This was after the wind storm that blew a bunch of 5 gallon buckets around, broke branches I had to tie a bunch of stuff up... But I sprayed LIBERALLY, misted the underside, the topside, the buds, the whole plant and even a plant or two that may have touched said plant or been next to it. Hope I didnt go too nuts, and hope that even if I did go a skosh over two teaspoons, it wont harm the plant. Will have a report tomorrow and next day. If ineffective will switch to milk, but from what I understand, you only need to change the acidic level to abolish the spores. Came in washed up, jumped in shower and put clothes in wash. I couldnt believe how fast that PM spread. First it was a little here, a little there, then, 'BAM!' all over the lower part of the one plant. Could be, as I was warned, when I used the leaf blower, even though I used it briefly and from afar, was probably all it took.
Anyway, with all the strings I got tying stuff up out there, its starting to look like the the end of 'Wanted,' where the loom factory was wrecked and there was thread everywhere. Or a Spider-man night drunk on the town. Using just kite string, not with the nylon in it tho,
Any advice on the apple cider vinegar, will it burn my plants,? should I not have saturated them,? should I have not sprayed the buds? Someone said it may make the pistils turn red quicker. Well, Geez, I hope so, lol.
Advice, anyone?
