Hello RIU! I have recently started my first grow outdoors, and I whipped up a thread on here for a little help, but I decided I would like to do a grow journal to not only assist my garden, but also for entertainment. I am looking forward to starting it, and hopefully the plants will reach full maturity and also a smooth ride along the way! I will upload pictures soon, but for now here are the first few pics. I posted in the other thread I made...
Here is the location pretty much when I first started. Its on private property, of a very nice house that has a long driveway, and a lot of forest. This is a patch of some kind of fern I am guessing? Not too sure. And the plants around this area, are about maybe 2ft high range, it is a perfect spot, with a CLEAR view of the sun, the sun goes east (middle right of pic) to west(middle/upper left of picture. The trees don't cover much of the
sun.
Here are the plants, I will put them as thumbnails...
I did transplant them a little early, but because of my indoor situation wasn't adequate enough to sustain them and I was scared of them dying.
The first three are doing really good. The soil looks terrible in this picture, but I made it a lot better and put some decent soil in there and also have plastic chicken wire covering them so nothing gets to them. The fourth plant, unfortunately was chewed up and swallowed by a terrible storm that came our way a few days ago, but it does seem to still stay green even though it only has its first leafs.
The area surrounding this grow, is wet, mushy, soil that shows every track left unless you walk on the small patches of grass only able to hold so much weight. This is good for me because I am learning the paths, and am also exploring considering to plant some more... I do have some seeds already germinated, need to be potted. But I shall look and see. But my overall plan, is to keep this as cheap as possible, and clean/good for the environment as possible, and to have a good, successful grow, growing the final product to the best I can. And I look forward to everyone's input, if this gets a good amount, it would be wonderful, and it would also encourage me to fix/do it again. Thanks!
