As some of you may or may not know the Cicada's are making a come back this year. They grow underground for 17 years and then emerge in the billions to eat all plant life in sight. Chances are if you're an east coast outdoor grower your crop will be eaten! YIKES.

What to do???

[h=1]East Coast readies for colossal numbers of cicadas[/h] [h=2]Huge numbers of cicadas, the large black insects that produce a eerie loud noise when mating, are on the verge of emerging after a 17-year underground development cycle. They are expected to surface late this month.

"Although boisterous, cicadas do not sting or bite, and they aren't harmful to crops. But they may cause damage to young, small trees or shrubs, if too many feed from the plants or lay eggs in their twigs, according to research published at www.magicicada.org."

From the link you posted. Not really saying anything by quoting it, just pointing it out. I've personally never heard of these so you showed me something new. I'm not outdoors but, cool. +rep
