I went down to rotate the plants and thought I'd throw a midweek pic of of one plant, a Jack Herer.

Bud development is going awesome on all of them. The one (fuzzy bad) pic of the cola shows an 8" cola developing. That's 20+ centimeters to my metric friends. I hit my goal of getting a lot of medium sized colas, nothing huge that will make the cover of High Times, but consistant moderate sized buds and lots of them.

It's 4 1/2 weeks since the 12/12 flip. I'm probably around half way through flower, I'm sure I have 4+ weeks to go, 6 would be fine. At the rate they are getting chubby these will be some nice fat buds. They have really added some girth the last few days. Starting to smell a bit. Just real pleased with how they are doing.

Gorgeous, I've got a pure indica skunk I just threw in flower that I'm hoping comes out the same. So far she's got plenty of tops.

Thanks bro. Just remember the turtle and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep 'em motivated with nutes, not stressed.

Also that brown in pic one is some CFL bulb burn. Running them as close as I do it just happens here and there but this is insignificant to the plant. Just don't do it to the buds, not good for the bottom line. Before it's over I imagine I'll scorch a bud. and have to fire myself.

Good growin' eveyone!

Looking good Aim, I train my plants about the same way you do. I dont really top my clones anymore, just tie them down. Keep 'em green. My last grow I ran into some bud mold because I just let the clones go, the tops were huge and my air movement and conditions were to damn humid(really sucks trashing a huge cola like the few I had the were showing mold, and that with just a 400 watt hps...lol). Training the plants have been better for me in my experience, won't get that one huge liter size width bud on the top but I also don't have any mold issues and overall it's easier to trim because I have way less to do on the bottom of the plants.

Thanx Bro. As far as I am concerned all the buzz words thrown about (LST, HST, topping, tying, fimming, supercropping, SOG, SCROG etc and more etc) all amount to the same thing: keeping the canopy even.

And the plant can handle all of it just fine and there is less "stress and shock" than most people imagine. Not keen on the mainlining concept though. Never tried it but I'm pretty sure it would put me back a couple weeks.

Fun thing is it's our plants and we can do whatever we want with them.

5 weeks since 12/12 flip.

Here you go. Just cruising along, buds getting fatter / longer by the day. No real problems to report.

Only puzzling thing is the "unknown " whose strain I lost track of. The last 4 weeks the top leaves have stayed real narrow and sativa-like, and are clawing badly. It might be over-N but she got exactly what the others got. I gave straight water last 3 waterings but no improvement. Could also be heat I guess, but again she's been in same environment as others.

Oh well, either that's just her phenotype or she's being a picky bitch. Got great color though a little dark, and buds are growing well enough.

Here's pics. Questions comments welcome as always. Anybody ever had an individual plant claw like that for no apparent reason?

Man I had a hell of a time getting pictures to upload, can you see 7?

The ww x bg is definitely photogenic and frosty. I grew straight ww and some white rhino last time and loved them both.

Cheese I grew last time and they just turned out solid and tasty, so were kind of insurance.

Jach H's have some excellent buddage as well, maybe a bit more than the cheese.

I likes 'em all, even the cranky bitch.

Peace - AIM

What kind of lights are you using? The plants look nice n full for 6 to 600w

Ya, I can see #7, if you mean the 2 Jacks, those are nice too, but like you say, the Widow is just so pretty.

I'm using the 600, plus 10 supplemental CFLs of varying sizes and spectrums on the sides. Got some pretty large ones 42 and 60w actual. So in honesty I'm probably pushing 1K watts combined. You can get a look at the fixtures I use back in post 15 & 19.

I think a lot of the fullness comes from the topping and lst training also. Canopy is short so get good light penetration so they stay bushy and hold onto all their leaves.

Go check out my goof.
I'm using same space and lights from last Winter, but I kept starting beans (5 altogether), thinking since they were reg, not fem, with my luck I'd be lucky to get 2 females.
Now............:wall:
At least I DID plan ahead a little, and only vegged one for 2 weeks and the others 12/12.

That link, scroll down to post# 18164, 4th post from top of page.
Or, if you just go to the thread, page 1817.

Well they look fine, many would like your problem.

Here's a tip for 'ya. I don't have 1817 pages, I got 457 pages because I got display set to 40/page, not the default 10/page.

It's easy:

Go to MyRollitup>my settings>general settings>thread display options>number of posts per page>show 40 posts per page

Huge timesaver.

i have. i attributed it to a hot spot because i didn't have anything else to blame it on. all the same strain but different seeds. i also think but can not prove that some plants claw just because some plants claw. nice canopy throughout but you already know that:)

I agree. I grew an auto cheese. Not sure if its the auto genes or the cheese genes but that thing curled from day one. And completely random leaves. some fans some smaller top leaves middle leaves lower leaves. One day these few would be curled, the next day a few more or a few less would be curled. I was on point with my feeding and my temps never got over 80. Nice solid green the whole time. Not dark not light. Little nute burn in the last few weeks because of snow storm ultra haha.

Ive been growin for years and never came across this. I havent grown many autos so like i said could be auto related or the cheese genes.

I had the typical cheese genes that caused leaves to form together. So instead of having 5 or 7 leaves it would have 4 but one would be 2 mutated together. Which ive heard is common in cheeses.

I had one of mine claw from too much N, but then again, I had another claw from too much direct heat from the CFL's as I was trying to keep temps up in the closet.
On a couple, it even turned a few pistils brown and made them shrivel, as though they were ripe.
