Soap bars, coffee, piss, moth balls all failed my first 2 babys.
The rodents just laugh an burrow under my cages.
So I had to add root cages, wired to the top cage to stop em.

I recomend em.
My journal link below has vids of how i make very camo cages.

also you can heat up chicken wire in a fire to make it not look new an shiny.

Ya I lost like over 30 plants last year. Real heart breaker. I'm liking that stealthy fence though ScarHole! Shouldn't have any problems with animalsbongsmilie

If you guys liked the cages you got to see my updated design.

After loosing about 7? big girls outdoors i fianaly got some result, I was having 100% losses every week. I have had some last 3 weeks! heres what i did with my cages...

I had to add chicken were root cages to the bottoms to stop rabbbits an gophers.
Wireing the tops shut cause deer would stick there big stupid heads in there an get em.
Use wire smaller cage wire about 1/4 inch, cause mice could get in the chicken wire.
Make the tops so they can expand up an allow for growth.
Lighten up the weed camo to allow in more light.

But 2 of my 3 babes that survived arent in my new close wire cages, they have been kept alive by usin "Biodefend Deer/Rabbit Repelant". I tried it on my firends out door plants with no cages an he hasnt lost any yet either. THIS STUFF WORKS FOR ME! The main ingrediant is putrid eggs. an it has latex rubber in it to make it last on a plant 30-90 days!

Check out this vid to see em, an the journal for details

Hi PBF

Hey those are some pretty stealth plants in the first couple pics. Looks cool.
Wish ya better luck this year with your own mix. I dont remember you mentioning Water crystals to help retain water and nutes.
I heard about them this year but I guess they been around a while. Or maybe you dont pack water.

Thanks Cruzer. I'm deff behind this year. Around my area your plants must be knee high be fourth of July and I'm starting to think I'm not going to make it. I've got a spot but kinda worried about it. Probably only plant a few clones this year. We will see though hopefully we still turn out ok.

And no I have never heard of these water crystals?? Sounds essential though. I'll look into this for sure. Thanks again! I'm going to have to step my game up!!

Hey RockstarEnergy

This is a saying around my area. An old grower told me it once. Most likely different around your area, I harvested no later than mid oct usually or earlier.

My buddy's dad always said that if there not knee high by fourth of july then there not worth growin. He never used clone though so clones might be diff. He's pretty much saying that the plants won't have enough time to veg and get big before it starts flowering.

Looking good PBF. One suggestion I might make about the chicken wire...it works great for rabbits, but for gophers not so much. The chicken wire seems to small a gauge to thwart the gophers, they can cut right through it...or maybe we just have monster gophers out here. Just make sure that whatever you use is atleast 14 guage wire...the smaller the number the better. I have had alot of issues with animals, and I put almost as much care into the sites security as i do the plants. Not sure what the yields are like in your area, but I pulled 10 oz. off a Romulan that got butchered by deer and pack rats, hope you pull 2+ pounds this year.
