2009 outdoor for Appalachian Region

It's that time of year again on the east coast, ordering seeds, starting new strains, scouting out new guerilla spots, revamping some old ones.

This thread is to discuss the appalachian region's outdoor techniques, times for planting from seed and cloning and the latest guerilla tactics for growing some killer ganja in between those mountain valleys.

Personally I've germinated my mothers about a week ago, there about to enter vegetative growth, and in a few weeks i'll be taking some cuttings and getting ready to plant outdoors.

Also scouted some killer locations following a river/stream through the woods. It's secluded and the stream bends so much that it leaves recesses with perfect soil moisture and soil.

To all my fellow geurilla's,

High Times, and Happy Growing.

Interested in hearing more on this. I've always been indoors but am thinking of heading outside this year.

Where along the appalachians are you at? Im up in the northeast and im doing blue cheese, super skunk, auto tundra, durban poison and some bagseed in a guerilla op. Located near a river so water is fine. Has anybody ever planted in the soil where a tree fell down?

oohhh yes fellow North East growers! got my seedlins popped about a week ago_Purple Power, Pure Afghan, Bubblegum, OG Kush, Ultra_I cant sleep at night thinking of the season!!! Doing some searching of the forums and for anyone who doesnt know use google earth to find new spots, its AMAZING!!! And for planting where a tree fell it might not be a bad idea but you gotta watch because some trees are acid-loving _ http://web1.msue.msu.edu/monroe/soilweb2/acid-loving.htm _ but most dem species are found in swamps where you couldnt put a plant in the ground any way. As for the durban poison have you ever grown it outside around here? J/w cuz my purple power is mainly sativa

Nope ive never grown the durban...it was a free fem seed from attitude so im going with it. I use google earth too...its great. Im just waiting for some of the leaves and small plants to come in before deciding on my spots for good. Where do you tend to grow? In brush, fields, woods?

im kinda in the northern area near west virginia, im thinking its safe to plant in ground maybe around late april or early may, it seems like it might be a warm season for us so we can probably go a little earlier thn normal,, oh and my strain is and always has been the beautiful white widow.

Actually did some WW clones outside last year, beautiful plant and good genes,
And i just heard today last full moon in may is the last chance of any frost so put yer babies in the dirt then, buuuttt im in NE Pa so you ll probably be ahead of me a bit
And yoyo i mainly hit up swamps like i said or old lots that were logged in the middle of the woods or far enough from snooping noses, helps if you got buddies with land or you know old ladies with land blah blah etc.
oh and let me know how tha BluexCheese goes i got one fem off there but gave it away for inside

I grew some blue cheese inside earlier this fall and it came out very nicely. Stayed really bushy and good smoke.

Haha thanks. Ive got 5 that just sprouted today...3 fem bluecheese and 2 bagseed. Got 5 fem auto tundra, 5 super skunk, and a fem durban poison coming in the mail. Hopefully I'll get 10-12 females out of them...might leave a male to get seeds on one plant. Going guerilla this season...I'm going to be posting lots of pictures and I might do a video journal when the time comes.

I'm new to outdoor and had actually thought about using google earth too. I'm assuming you're looking for clearings in the woods, near a stream? I wouldn't assume they'd grow very well under a tree canopy, is this right?

I've got a PPP mother already in full swing from my indoor s.o.g., figure I'll plant the extra cuttings I don't use outside.
