2000 to spend on grow room, trying to figure out best setup for 12 plants/max yield

Hi everyone, Just looking for some guidence here. I have about 2000.00 to start my grow and so far plan on doing a coco grow with 4-6 in flowering at a time with 1 1000w mh/hps system. I also plan on having a seperate veg room with either a 250w mh or a 8 tube t5 setup. I i have a 12 plant max and am trying to figure out the best setup to produce max yields from 12 plants.

So far I am thinking of growing coco hand watering and starting all 12 at the same time. Then plan taking 6 of these and placing into fruiting and let the others veg for a total of 3 months. This would allow me to fruiting ever 2-3 months with very large plants. I am also consider LST and possibly ScroG.

Does this sound like a good setup for max yields? If you can think of something better please shoot me your ideas.

Also what I am really looking for help on is how to spend this 2000. I know lights and ballast and reflector ( would like recommendations for basement grow)...but behond that and the pots, fans, ph tester, nuts and medium, I am at a loss. ANY help here would be very much appreciated.

I dont know if C02 could fit in this budge or if i would be better off spending extras on testers and envirnment controllers ect. Please let me know what is priority and how to best spend this for this type of setup.

lastly this will be in a pretty dry basement usually around 69 to 72 degrees so I dont know if cooling will be much of an issue. My vent would be running through my dryer vent outside with a carbon filter. This air goes to my front door so i dont know if that would be ok or not. I can either build a room in the basement or use a section of it and dont know what would be better.

I know this post is long, but I wouild be so happy for as much help as you have to offer! Thanks in advance :joint::joint::joint:

i would suggest goin online to look at prices then go to local hydroponics and gardening store and let them know your situation if your legal it will help alot
but there not gonna turn down 2grand in sells
so just let em know your growing tomatoes and what your looking for and they should be happy to help and give a large discount if your buying 2g worth of shit at once

hey man i just bought a set- up for around 2 grand myself.

4x4 sunhut grow tent
1000w digital lumatek ballst
6inch vortex fan
fan speed controler
carbon filter
air cooled hood
6inch insulated ducting
soil
nutes

This is my first grow i chose promix as a medium but ill go with coco next time. nutes i hear good things about dynagrow or fox farms i highly reccomend looking into kelp, humic/fulvic acid, liquid silica as addidtives. 3-1-2 is a good ratio for veg. i chose fox farm tiger bloom for flowering. Get an EC meter and ph meter as well. test your water, also the chlorine/chloramine is suposed to kill beneficial microbes so let it sit out for 24 hours but if i were u id invest in a reverse osmosis filter. read uncle bens threads, mandala mike - fertilizing wisely and everything else.
i grow/live in a basement too; its the perfect enviroment. i use the speed controler and lots of sound insulating foam to keep the noise down; plus a ONA mist for any lingering odor. i also use a layer of stryofoam to insulate the roots from the cold floor. make sure whatever u use to grow in is light proof my tent isnt so i duct taped all the leaks. For your first grow forget scrog, topping and lst just let your plants grow, adjust ur set-up, learn to take care of 'em. if u can afford co2 go ahead but make sure u got enough for everything else first. from what i hear: you dont need/want to veg that long cuz it will be hard to adequetly provide light for a huge plant without a vertical light setup. however if u got a strain that stretches very little and (google topping for 4 main colas) bushes out like sensi star or shiva u could veg for a long time.

Thanks for all the good info. I am pretty much looking to puchase the saem stuff as you minus the tent. I have not read too much about the tents so I dont know if that would be better for me or not, but my basement area is pretty large so right now i am debating on either using mylar and some wood to build a little area or if i should just use the whole basement. I figured if i use the hole basement it should be pretty easy to keep temps where i want them and it seems there would be plenty of fresh air. Can anyone clarify which would be better for me?

Thanks again!

The main reason for using a tent is it keeps the bugs out (insects looooove the sticky icky), and since you're using the basement, that might be an issue. You can build your own grow room if you're handy (I did), but make sure you are able to build it airtight, light-sealed, and with openings on at least 2 sides so you can get in there and water, prune, etc. without having to remove plants from the space. Hope that helps.

Thanks for that :) Anyone have an opinion on and adjust-a-wing vs Magnum xxxl for a basement grow? Also anyone know where to find good coco for a good price?

Thanks

no personal expiernce with either of 'em but i hear
bigger reflector = bigger footprint but less light penentraion.

just make sure what ever u get is aircooled.

does it really need to be air cooled? I hear the adjust-a-wings are pretty cool and its also in a basement.

I also keep getting mixed advice on setting up a grow room in my basement or just growing IN the basement. To me i would think that if i do not build a grow room and just grow in the corner it would get more fresh air to the plants and keep the room cooler. I can understand pests, but my basement is very clean all floors and walls have fresh paint....very dry.

Adjust a wings are the best non air cooled reflector IME...I've got one running beside a Blockbuster hood.
Preference would be up to you and your conditions, both are great reflectors.
