20 plants too much for 600 watts?

As the title states will 20 or so plants be too much for a 600 watt hps emitting 95,000 lumens to support. I did the math and with each plant recievig 3000-4000 lumens I still have plenty of lumens to spare so what do you guys think is 20 plants too much?

I am going to purchase this light in a matter of days but I need your opinions first. Responses to this post would be greatly apprciated I am kind of stuck on what to do.

So you will be growing how tall would be the question. I am trying to visualize. You really should be fine, I actually think you could put close to double that amount in there.

Basically keep in mind that with a 600watter you could probably cover about a 4x4 foot area perfectly. It depends how many plants you can fit in that area and get it down to a good formula of how long you have to veg for you plants not to take over. Get it.

2 600 or a 1000 would be more ideal.

You can see in mine I have 3 plants across each way. making 9

You are thinking about doing about 20 so that is maybe 4 one way and 5 another way. Im guessing that is like one plant every 3/4 of a foot or something like that? Maybe veg till about 14 inches, maybe 16 ya know.

Aim for making about 2 to 2 and a half foot plants when they are fininshed. That is what I am envisioning...

It really all comes down to how long he wants to veg for and how big he wants the plants to finish at.

2 600watts would be good for them if he got them big. That is basically what I have. 9 plants under each light. 3 pots by 3 pots. I am growing mine to 2 feet in veg then flowering. That would be a much bigger operation.

I think your bottom line is get the 600watt light, put the 20 clones under it, get them to a foot and a half and flower. Simple as that.

Yeah, I think if you were going to do a real sog you could fit more than 20 under that light right? Like 40 or 60 huh...

Grow space will be 52"Lx52"Wx6'H, pots sizes are four gallons approximately 10 inches wide. I was thinking about Lining pots either 4x5 or 5x4, some with some space left between each for when leafs spread.

I will veg for about 1-2 weeks or probably switch to 12/12 once plants reach 8-10 inches. I will also have probably about 2 4ft flouros on 2 of 4 sides for side lighting. HPS will be vented hood type.

Will 20 10inch pots fit in there? Will the plants have enough room? Seems like you got a game plant now. im thinking that you may be able to veg a little more and yeild a lot more...
