2 x 4 tent LED recommendations

I have these two 4x2 boxes: The first one with the more lush growth is under a 600w MH bulb for veging. Two plants in this one.

The second box has 3 plants that fit in there. They are smaller and under one Spider farmer 1000d (100 watts) and a Maxsisun mf2000 (230 watts). Total for this box= 330 watts from the socket.

I have been growing with HIDs for years now and wanted to switch to the LEDS for a number of reasons but cutting the electricity used in half is what really appeals to me.

So far so good and I should have a harvest going in about 6 weeks from them both since I go to 12 & 12 any day now.

The LED plants seem to draw on more nitrogen in the late vegetative stage and I have been adding nitrogen to their former nutes now under both systems.

I started with the burples then quickly switched to these Quantum boards which seem to give better growth and consume about half the electricity. Under Burples I was pulling twice the electricity for the same PAR values................

It has been a learning process from HID to LED for me and I also am making this transition

Appreciate all the responses… thanks all.

Look at the UPDAYDAY .. 400~W and a 60% off coupon. There is another thread made with other users who have them and are checking them out. I used a spiderfarmer SF2000 in a 2x4. Great light but expensive for what is it. I like how the updayday can rotate to focus the lights as well so I'm replacing the SF2000 for now.

Check out the thread and possibly consider it! Seems like a solid deal

I have a 2x4x5 with 4 plants. 3 autos and one photo that will be for clones in my jew tent. Been running one mars-hydro ts 1000 here are the results as of now. I have a second mh ts1000 on the way for this tent. My 4x4 will be set up with 2 hy and 1 sf sf1000 and two sunco burple lights

That oughta help. Sounds like you may be tripling the power draw and then some. I would go easy on them with the extra light at first and I will be curious how it turns out for you..............

Best wishes on this

Thanks for the responses… have not ruled out anything for sure. Just wanted some good feedback if their are other good options. Looking for long term energy savings/ efficiency and coverage for a 2x4. Thanks again

I just bought a viparspectra p 4000 on sale at Amazon for $289. It's dimmable, 400 watts, I'll never have to run it in my 2x4 tent at 100% heck I probably won't ever have to use it any higher than 70-75%. It is huge. I should get amazing coverage. The Mars hydro SP3000 is $410 on Amazon. The viparspectra p 4000 is about $339 when it's not on sale. That's a lot of light for $70 less. Screenshot_20220211-043733.png

Under a dollar/watt for decent Boards. Never thought I’d see that. No more excuses.
The viparspectra xs series is actually even better than the p series. You will get the Samsung 301B diodes and I think Meanwell driver's... And for example the xs4000 is 480 watts and it's $387 right now. And I'm sure Coco for Cannabis has a discount code on top of that.
