hey my plant is 2 weeks old and starting its 3rd set of (3 leavers).its about 6" tall.
i waz wondering if its ok to use my 150w clf on it (2700k),my temps are 25-28 light on and 20ish lights off.
it has been under 15/9 for 2 weeks and i want to flower early.

i just dont kno if it can handle 25-30 temps at this age?

also would using my extra 2 11w clf's for side lighting?

all help/comments/advice please.

sure, go ahead. more light is better but you need to figure out how to get your temps under control if you add more, which you should do. just wanna double check something- the 150w cfl you are speaking of is actual watts, right?

also do u think i could just hang the 150w above my plants and get them out of my small veg cab cuz it gets warm.

and here in england we still have sum good sun do u think i should put myplant under the natural sun rather than a clf if its bright enuf?

get another fan sucking the air out of the box and it should lower the temps. actually, i just went to a website that converts celsius to farehnheit and it tells me 30c is 86f, you said its between 25c-28c which is 77-82f, which is perfecctly fine, i was thinking 30c was alot hotter than it actually is. dont worry about it. if u add the 2 11w(why not get something bigger? the heat they put out isnt really gonna be any less than a higher watt cfl. if you add em you will need to add more venting either way. i suggest some 42w cfls (or 26 or 30w if 42w costs too much for you.)

lol na my heatning is ok now and gonna put on my 150w few weeks thanks for advice

so long as it is direct sunlight, the sun is always better than artificial light. Also, I have seen some great plants grown 12/12 from seed, so you can switch them any time. Expect the plant to double or triple in size during the first few weeks of flowering, depending on the indica/sativa dominance

i really wanna have it so my plants can use the last week or 2 of natural sunlight but there in there dark periods from 7-7 because i am at college and my parents will rpobs turn my lights off.

really annoying lol

no locks on ma door ffs =/ and my area is 1 of my dressing tables with the draws taken out,outlined with tinfoil and there has to be light gaps or they will die with no air and high temps.

also do u kno how long a sativa plant takes to show sex sighns? mayb 2-3 weeks into flowering?

the more lights the better. most people shoot for 10000 lumens per sq ft. you can get so much more out of it if you add more light. have one fan blowing on the plants and one blowing out your box

i have about 4000 lumens on my 1 plant atm i doubt i need anymore lol and thanks for the advice

im sure of it, if that helps, lol. cfls do make it hard to cool the area though, lol. my 4 sq ft scrog w/20 42w 2800 lumen still got up to 85f(max) even when it was in the basment(45-50f temp in the basement, had to put a space heater by the one intake to get it to stay at 60 during lights out though) which was 14,000 watts a square foot. but honestly you could make due with 4k-5k a square ft and still do pretty decent,

thanks again putting my hopes up =) and advising me lol

i woke up this morning and there stretching sideways and stuff look like ive attempted to lst it but the plants stem is just growing to my sidelights and my main light.

hopefully i can sort it out 2night when they come back on at 8 oclock but its alright.

sativas can take longer to show sex. they also have a tendency to grow for nearly the entire flowing process if it is a full sativa. those things can stretch like crazy. And the light you have will still make bud, dont worry! always remember you dealing with a weed =) Its just up until a point when CO2 becomes the limiting factor, the more light, the more bud. cheers
